Priced under $200, Asus’ B660-Creator D4 is a solid budget board for creative professionals. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the Z690 version, but it’s less than half the pricef. If you’re looking to use the flexibility of the USB Type-C display option and don’t need integrated Thunderbolt 4 (40 Gbps) ports, this board should be on your shortlist. Pros +Budget ATX-size ‘professional’ board +Plenty of USB ports +USB Type-C DisplayPort capability +three M.2 sockets

I've mostly built higher-end systems and everything has always been perfect with Asus MB's but this one was a bit odd. Can't find anywhere in the manual, either slim-on-details paper one that comes with it or the lengthier PDF from the website but the M.2_1 slot can't see an NVMe installed in it... is it b/c I have a RTX 3080 installed at 16x ? No idea, can't solve it so had to move the NVMe to the lowest NVMe slot. I have NO idea why there are 6-pin and 4-pin ATX power connectors on this MB when the 850W fully modular pretty high end PSU I've paired with it has NEITHER of these in the healthy cable collection. Again, I looked EXTENSIVELY at documentation for a reference to the significance / need for these to be connected to the PSU, besides the standard 24-pin and the upper-left 8-pin ATX power socket obviously, but there was ZERO mention of them other than the socket descriptor "ATX Power 6-Pin" "4-Pin" ... even searched the FAQ on Asus and there's no information about them at all. IF these are there to support a low-end PSU... THEN at least add that info to the manual. Otherwise things went well, once the Day1 BIOS, over a year old by now, had to be updated before even being able to socket a 13th gen i7. This would have been a pretty awful experience for a first-timer OR someone switching allegiance from another brand... Next time I'll just stick to MB"s higher up the food-chain.

Perfect board for creators, designers or even gamers to be honest especially if using one of the locked CPUs. I paired mine with an i5-12400F so this was more than adequate. Worked perfectly out the box. One star off since it is missing WiFi and Bluetooth.

Excellent quality at a great price. This is my second ASUS motherboard. Its a Pro Art 660 with the features that I was looking for. Not a gamer, so I wasn't looking for the 'extras'. The two small issues that I have is the missing screw for the tiny Wi-Fi M.2 card. (I used a drop of super glue) shown in the picture. The other is the lack of a LARGE wiring diagram. The tiny text on the front panel support pins is very hard to see. Both issues combined do not warrant the loss of that fifth star. I would buy it again.
