For the price of this PC And it's components, I should be able to play any game on maximum settings but it's even sluggish and slow using Google Chrome. Extremely disappointed. I've even tried to adjust the settings in Armory crate but they have little impact on performance & quality. I bought this as a software developer so I could work in Unreal Engine & Unity, but I haven't even tried to install those yet. How can they run if games that are newer and even ones that are 6-7 years old run at 2-3 FPS and top out at 27fps???

I've seen a few reviews of this computer that are overly critical in my opinion. Since getting it, I've been impressed with the build quality, aesthetics, and performance. It rivals my desktop (i9-10850k + RTX 3090) for framerates and gaming experience, and the screen is one of the best I've ever seen in a laptop. Highly recommend this computer if you are looking for a high end laptop / desktop replacement.

Useless camera does not do facial recognition which is coming to be ways for other security uses now I have a 2n camera hanging over the screen. This is almost as bad when the build there 17s with NO camera keyboard are little small compared to my 18in MSI which came with both good camera and great keyboard. Feel Asus beat the screen color and brightness good screen.

This is the most powerful gaming laptop that was available at the time I purchased it.

So far this computer is better than my previous laptop, however it is not perfect. The good: The 4090 graphics card is extremely fast and can run at full speed with maximum resolution playing World of Warcraft. While it runs pretty hot at full speed, it runs cooler than my last laptop, which had a NVIDIA 2070 card in it. During normal use, it runs very cool. The bad: The keyboard lights will not stay on (they stay on for a few hours but then turn themselves off). A minor irritation, but the keys are so dark one needs the lights on to read the keys. The Bluetooth has serious problems. I have two different Jabra headsets. With both, they will connect and work for a while, but then they will start “stuttering” and won’t stop. When I say stuttering, I mean that the sound goes in and out with silent gaps in the sound stream. Once they start doing that they won’t stop. Restarting the computer doesn’t even fix it, I literally have to delete the device from my Bluetooth list and re-pair them to get the stuttering to stop. It is the most bizarre thing. I have never had a computer do this and I have used these same headsets on three other computers without any issue. Lastly, the screen goes off immediately if one unplugs the power adapter or if the power in the house goes out. Most of the time the screen comes back on, but it takes 15 to 30 seconds to do so (which really disrupts meetings). This happens every single time. Occasionally, the screen never comes back on and you are forced to reboot the computer. This has happened twice since I have had the computer (about two weeks now). So far I would buy this computer again, assuming I eventually get the Bluetooth issue fixed. If not then no, this will be my last ASUS computer.

Unfortunately, it even hasn't turned on from the box, it moved me directly to the bios, I'm glad that i could return it without any problems, however It was my favorite brand, my first laptop was asus and it was just perfect and such a bad experience now, with this one...

Excellent performance on this gaming notebook. Display is large and brilliant, and I like that the mini-LED's are controllable with the included software. Handles temps better than any other gaming notebook I've used so far. A few reviewers I've seen complained about the lack of metal chassis elements for such an expensive laptop, but I am okay with it as it would have made the laptop even heavier to lug around. Great overall so far

Love everything about this laptop. It’s my 3rd gaming pc and it’s by far the best. But it was also the most expensive too. But the performance of it blows away my other pc’s even my desktop that had a 3090ti in it. Only thing bad I have to say is that I had to update a driver in one of my usb ports as soon as I got it which stressed me out that something was wrong with it. But it was a quick fix once I figured it out. But when you spend this much money you expect perfection but besides that one small thing. The asus strix scar 18 with the 4090 is as close to perfection in a gaming rig that I’ve experienced in my 30 years of being a gamer.
