The recipes were alright but I hated that it had a whole section or tea. It was like “boil certain herb” like no really? 😦

I wanted to expand my culinary horizons and this book seemed like a fun way to try new ingredients I’ve never used before! So far I’ve made 13 different recipes from this book and have already found a few I will be coming back to. (Simple steamed vegetables, Appa’s apple salad, warming Ginger tea, Appa blend bubble tea. All easy and delicious!) There are some recipes that are a bit of a process but had great results too. Aunt Wu’s Bean Curd Puffs and Kyoshi Island Stuffed Apple Donuts take work but they are good! I particularly liked the tea section of this book. I wasn’t expecting to, but most of the recipes are simple and I loved the results. Would also like to add- I am a vegan but really wanted this book as an Avatar fan. I was pleased to see a handful of recipes that are either already vegan or are easily adaptable with substitutes for milk / honey / etc. If I keep going I should be able to make about 60% of the recipes in this book no problem.
