Q: Does this work to help lighten brownish sun spots and old red marks left from either solar keratosis or acne? Also can it be used in conjunction with a hydrating face wash?

The product is OK. But the packaging is woefully deficient. We have had two different tubes where the cap broke off or the cap fractured so we could not get the product out of the tube. The hole was plugged with piece that broke off the cap. There is a design or material flaw in the packaging.

This is a bizarre product with the texture of hair gel and almost nothing that provides an actual "scrub". I don't want to sand my face off, but some tangible texture would be nice. In addition, it has a strange chemical scent that is borderline unpleasant.

I love the Aveeno brand and have multiple products by them. This scrub smells amazing and goes on smoothly and creates a little lather. There are little scrubby beads to remove any oil, dirt and grime. My face was very shiny and oily and now it’s smooth, clean and fresh after my wash. I highly recommend this! Product was $9.79 at target and is only 5oz. A little expensive for a small product but I think it’s worth it.

I think highly of aveeno, there brand is top of the line when it comes to skincare and moisturizer. I use this gritty face wash 3 times a week. You never want to use a gritty cleanser daily. It can cause too much irritation to your skin. This face wash does not over dry my face after using. Like most cleansers do. My face feels smooth and clean, my pores look smaller. And my face isn’t overly oily when I wake up in the morning. I struggle with oily prone skin. I highly recommend

I am disappointed as well as many other reviews left. This new formula has a bad smell and has less scrubbing beads in it. I have been using the green tube for over ten years and will never buy this new formula ever again. Bye bye Aveeno...on to searching for a better product!

The exfoliant is very gentle and non-abrasive. Aveeno is a great affordable skin and body care brand. I also use a few of their other products and they are all top-tier! I am a mature woman who uses this almost every night to remove any leftover makeup and sunscreen. I know we need to be careful with physical exfoliators but I prefer a little bit of gritty texture to know I’m getting my sunscreen off after cleansing with a balm.
