The Aveneil's walnut-finished frame is constructed of solid rubberwood for durability. This platform bed's headboard is upholstered in polyester fabric and foam-padded for comfort. This is a very well-made solid bed. Not only that, it’s great looking! It fits a standard king mattress perfectly. Some have mentioned there is a gap on the sides. But, this is so that you can tuck the bedding in. And it won’t fall over the edges. we love this bed and we spent a year looking for one that would work for us

absolutely love it. very sturdy and solid. great if you have kids bc it is great for nursing in middle of the night and safe for my rambunctious toddler who likes to jump on the bed. very simple design and doesn't take away from other features of the room. my favorite purchase of the year so far.
