  • A: The material is preshrunk. As long as the care instructions are followed (Machine wash cold, tumble dry low), the shorts will not shrink.

Nice looking short. But I prefer a higher waistline and a thicker waistband size. This landed at least an inch below my navel. I also think $40 is a lot to ask for a pair of shorts, so I only gave 4 stars.

Love the fabric, especially on hot and humid days. Differently from the thick cotton fabric of the Bristol shorts, the Abby shorts’ moves with your body allowing better range of movement without exposing covered areas (including those associated with plumbers at work..;) My second pair was one size down - from 6 to 4 - for better fit. For reference, I am in my 50s, fairly active, 5’6” ~135lbs (slender top, long torso, curvy bottom) and depending on the brand and cut wear size 4-6 in pants

These are some of my favorite shorts, I have several pair. They fit great and are very comfortable. I like that Advetura offers longer length shorts. I’m in my early 60s and like to keep the skin on my thighs covered more than I used to. Check the size chart, I wear a size smaller than in most brands.

I’ve been buying Aventura shorts for about 5 years and love them, I won’t buy anything else. I’ve worn out two pair wearing them virtually daily in this Texas climate. They are true to size but note that the Abby short does stretch out so size down and they will be fine. So comfortable!

Perfect fit. Perfect weight for those hot summer days. I am between an 8 or a 10. I went with an 8 in this style because another reviewer said they stretched some after wearing. So far so good although I haven't washed them yet.

these stay up without a belt, but i also really appreciate the high number of belt loops placed well to prevent slipping and gapping. plan to use these for casual biking and everything else. the fit is as expected; i have big quads, a bit of a belly but also a small-ish waist; not an easy fit to nail but they did.
