A: Hello! This cabinet is finished in a glossy oak stain which will prevent paint from adhering to the surface. We would not recommend painting this cabinet. Hope this helps.

Came sooner than expected. Well packaged. I recommend two people for assembly. Some of the holes on the back didn't match up. Hubby redrilled. Backing was kind of flimsy so maybe the price should reflect this? Sturdier back would help balance this cabinet due to the weight of the glass doors. The holes for the inside hinges seemed too big. We used wooden tooth picks and some glue in the holes so the screws wouldn't keep turning. And there were small drips on the top from the stain. I really like the color; matches perfectly with my woodwork. It's the perfect size for what I am using it for. I put a nice cloth cover on the stain. And last but not least, Target respectfully resolved these issues with me.

I wanted a small cabinet that could store my china and sentimental knick knacks. I found this cabinet on the website to be reasonable and had decent ratings. It arrived sooner than expected and it was easy to put together. You do need two people so that one can hold on to the item and the other can put in the screws. the cabinet doors are uneven but it is unnoticeable from afar, which is why I rated it 3 stars.

The Avery Floor Cabinet in Oiled Oak-Brown arrived today as scheduled. Comments as follows:
- Packaging of product very impressive; no damaged parts.
- Hardware included a Spare Parts packet which was appreciated.
- At one point during assembly, a second person was needed to avoided damage to partially assembled cabinet.
- Staining of MDF was quite evenly applied and matched the marketing photo.
- A minor splintering was found on one of the doors. I will touch this up myself.
- The MDF material is quite heavy. Two people are needed to safely move the finished cabinet.
- Several of the holes used to fasten the back panels did not line up yet were not needed.
- Note: Position the two shelves with the larger notches facing the front of the cabinet before attempting to install them.
- Note: Several of the Cam-Lock fasteners needed to be jogged with a screw driver before they became seated.
