These are disappointing to say the least. I used 3 packs of these to print out photos and ironed as directed. Bit of a challenge to peel off paper. I made it works. I ironed on to white cotton fabric. I then used them in a memory quilt I was making. Very dissatisfied that the film that is ironed on toe fabric, started cracking and peeling before I was finished making the quilt. So how would they hold up on a t-shirt with regular washing and drying?? This stuff started cracking and peeling just handling my quilt. Ill never buy again. Waste of money.

The transfer works great! I would like to suggest to the product developer that you put a Graph grid on the back to help placement on the fabric. I have used approximately 50 transfers while making an anniversary quilt. It is difficult to center the picture on my quilt square and it would be easier if they were measurements on the back.

Half way through and it begins to rip. Ironed up and down and side to side for 3 minutes, let cool for five. Slowly peeled off and halfway through it began to rip. Brand new shirt ruined along with the iron on.

My friend bought this for our family vacation t shirts. She made over 15 shirts and all of them ruined in one day of wearing. When I helped her make them the backing would not pull off the correct way leaving the print on the backing. The ink literally smears on EVERYTHING and EVERYWHERE. Everybody was walking around marked up on their face and arms from the ink. This is a horrible product.
1 reply from Customer Care team - 1 year ago
Hello, I am so sorry to see that these fabric transfers are smearing for you. The ink should apply when used with an inkjet printer, so this could be a quality issue on our end. My apologies for this inconvenience. To help you with a refund for this situation, please have the original purchaser contact our Care Team with their order number and picture of this issue so we can review. You call us at: 800-462-8379. Our hours: 6am-5pm PST. Thank you.

I have never had problems with Avery t-shirt transfers before, but this one was awful. I read all the directions - paper and online - followed them carefully, timed the transfer and the cool down time. I had REAL trouble getting the transfer off. Because it wanted to peel back off, I had to do the ironing part two more times, but then I couldn't get the transfer to release from the backing paper. The image was adhered, but it was like the backing was glued down as well. I got it off, but it left a raised spot on the edge of the transfer. On the back of the transfer paper, there were raised bumps as there was still some glue on the back of the transfer paper. I ironed it back down, let it cool, but when I removed it, it pulled up a gooey piece of the transfer. I tried to iron it back down again using the backing paper again and letting it cool completely. This time it came off, but it was spotty and not even. Just a mess.

I just bought this product and followed all the directions and the back is not coming off. I was using another brand with no problems and ran out so I ran to the closest store and bought this Avery product.

Hello, I am sorry to hear about this issue you are having with applying these fabric transfers. One trick we have found to help with peeling off the backing off of a transfer is to re-iron, then place the item in the freezer for 2 minutes. If you still cannot remove the transfer and need a replacement or refund, please contact our Client Services. You can chat with us on avery.com/help, or call us at 800-462-8379 Mon-Fri 6am - 5pm PST.

We started a small business and this was the only transfer brand available. After purchasing we noticed the horrible reviews, but to our surprise the transfer works like a charm! Our fabric is 100% cotton - natural canvas. To print the artwork mirrored, we use the actual artwork in AI - Illustrator to make it mirrored so we didn't have to figure out printer settings.

I wanted to love these so much but I made 2 shirts and both didn't make it past 1 use and the sonic one began peeling from the middle. Very upsetting because you spend time and money and you get this.

I don’t know whether or not I don’t have an inkjet printer (HP Envy 5530) or it is not a good product. The images I transferred to t-shirts is cracking. However, Avery brand products have never let me down so I will continue to work with it.
1 reply from Avery Consumer Care team - 3 years ago
Oh no we're so sorry the images started to crack after applying the transfer. It is possible that more pressure may need to be applied when ironing the transfer on. Please reach out to our Care Team at Avery.com/contact or call at 800-462-8379, we would be more than happy to assist with the issue.

I have been making my own t-shirts for years. I have never used the avery brand because I have never had good luck with any of their products. I bought this because the brand I normally use was sold out. I needed to make 2 simple shirts for an event. Well, 4 ruined shirts later I finally gave up. I will never ever use an avery product again. The transfer would not peel off and it turned all the white that was in their logo brown. An absolute waste of money. I lost money and a customer.
