As a parent who values both style and functionality, I was excited to invest in the Babyletto Gelato Mini Crib. However, my experience with this product has been nothing short of disappointing. Firstly, the crib’s supposed durability is a major letdown. Despite handling it with care, I noticed that it scratches incredibly easily. It’s frustrating to see such visible damage accumulate over time, especially considering the premium price tag attached to this crib. What’s even more concerning is the inexplicable peeling of paint. After just a few months of use, patches of paint began to peel off the crib for no apparent reason. Not only does this compromise the crib’s aesthetic appeal, but it also raises serious safety concerns for my child. To add insult to injury, the structural integrity of the crib started to deteriorate after just one year of use. Components began to loosen, and I noticed several joints coming apart. This is simply unacceptable for a product that should provide a secure and stable sleeping environment for infants. Overall, I cannot in good conscience recommend the Babyletto Gelato Mini Crib to other parents. Its lack of durability, paint issues, and premature wear and tear make it a poor investment. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a reliable crib option.

It was difficult to assemble, and the directions are not great. Had to redo legs twice! Scratchs easily, walnut finish is iffy. Love the size and very sturdy. Buy a real mattress. The one provided is poor

It is a beautiful crib, but scratches easily. Just had my hand resting on the wood and when I pulled my hand away it left a scratch. I would recommend getting a plastic cover for the top portion where the baby would put their hands/teeth to preserve the wood. The other reason I rated it a 2/5 is because I purchased it 9/26/23 and when it arrived it was damaged. I had it picked up for a return with a replacement to follow and it didn’t arrive for almost 3 weeks when customer service stated it would take 7-10 days. I contacted customer service multiple times and each time I received different information. I am very understanding and flexible when it comes to delivery issues, but when the difficulty I had with Target’s customer service was beyond anything I have ever experienced before. I would recommend giving yourself enough time to get the crib and possibly having to deal with a return/replacement if it arrives damaged like mine did.

This crib is a perfect size for my needs. I am a grandma and we use the guest room for both adults and babies at different times of the year. I set it up in the corner of the room and it looks great but doesn't take up a lot of space. I would have given it 5 stars had the crib mattress been decent, but it's worthless. I actually threw it out with the box. It's way too thin and soft for a newborn baby. I ordered a Newton mini crib mattress and it is perfect.

Overall I recommend the crib, note I have had the crib a few days and have not actually used with the babe yet: Shipping/Packaging 5/5 - Shipping was fast and the product was well packed. I did not not see any issues due to mishandling or missing parts. Instructions 4/5 - Instructions are picture only and not well organized. It was easy to infer how to put the product together, but these could use simple improvement. It took 2 hours for 1 person to put together on a weeknight. Quality 5/5 - No long term observations yet, but I compare this material to other furniture I have ordered online and I was impressed. The furniture looks exactly like the photo. I would suggest buying a different mattress than the one included. Notes - You will need to order the mini mattress and mini crib sheets for this item.
