Babyletto Hudson Cubby Bookcase

Poor quality, not as nice as the matching crib. Worth $90. All particle board, lots of dents on arrival.

The construction of this is terrible. For the price, they could have, and should have, done MUCH better. Multiple boards came with water damage, cracks, and/or were dirty, and there’s nothing we can do to hide the flaws. Cheap material that definitely won’t last a long time. Super disappointing, as we also purchased the dresser and side tables that go with this set. I wish we could return it, but it’s already put together. Babyletto, please do better.

As has already been said here, this bookcase is beautiful and the style is really unique, and yet there are some flaws you should be aware of. We went with the natural wood color, which is where the first flaw is. It’s a nice color, but much more peach and even a bit pink than the photos would lead you to believe. This isn’t a deal breaker for us, but it could be a bummer if you didn’t know. The assembly is ROUGH, even compared to the other pieces in the Hudson collection. It is poorly designed for assembly and is so fragile at one point in the process when you assemble the middle shelves. If you plan on assembling this alone, you’ll have to get creative and go off-script. I ended up doing (after a failed attempt following the directions) that and it turned out totally fine. But it looks really nice. That’s the redeeming factor for us. It fits our baby nursery so well and if you know the flaws going into it, it could be a really nice piece.

We bought the Hudson crib and dresser, they were good quality. The bookcase is definitely not. It is 90% particle board. My husband kept saying he couldn’t believe how much this item costs as he was putting it together. Not sturdy. I would not recommend this product.

PROS: The bookcase/cubby itself is beautiful- it is much heavier than cheaper versions I’ve used in the past and the white is crisp and bright. CONS: It was not “quick and easy” to put together as other reviewers have suggested, it took about an hour and a half and required two people to ensure every part of each shelf lined up correctly and stayed aligned before tightening. Unfortunately it is pretty wobbly...Sheetrock anchors are most definitely needed. It’s not as sturdy as what I was expecting for the price. Overall, it’s beautiful looking and heavy, but quality and sturdiness need improvement.

This is so pretty but it arrived with sloth of damage knicks and particularly board broken, the instructions should have had a little bit of words but I managed, by the time I was almost done putting it together I noticed a damage that I couldn’t even continue to put it together, assembly was annoying, and very white washed

Started falling apart as soon as we put it together. Particle board in back was crumbling. Wood around holes split as we put the shelves in. Very disappointed.

so happy to find this bookcase to go in my childrens room. My children share a room and my youngest sleeps in the hudson crib while her older sister now has the hudson twin bed. this bookcase naturally fits in so well and it holds so many more books than my previous bookshelf add some cubbies and its a great storage solution too! Arrived quickly in perfect condition and we had it assembled in less than 30 minutes

This bookcase keeps my son's room organized.

Super cute and sturdy! Not like all those boring bookcases- this one is super fun! Matches our Babyletto Hudson crib! 5 stars!

This is a really cute bookcase! We are able to reuse those storage boxes that we got from ikea to fit into the shelves. It's also not too high so kiddos are able to reach the top shelf for their toys. Love it!
