Badger SPF 40 Sport Mineral Sunscreen Tin is a reef-friendly sport sunscreen ideal for long days in the surf and sun. Unscented and formulated with natural zinc oxide, it’s the first formula ever to achieve the rigorous Protect Land + Sea Certification*. This waterless, antioxidant-rich sunscreen is made with just four ingredients that are 98% organic, including sunflower oil and vitamin E, to leave skin nourished and protected. Cruelty free, packaged in a 50% PCR tube, and made with solar power.
*Products labeled with the “Protect Land + Sea” Certification Seal mean that the product has been independently tested by the Haereticus Environmental Laboratory (HEL) to verify that the product does NOT contain chemicals known to be pollutants in many different environments (freshwater streams, river, beaches, and ocean systems) or wildlife (corals, fish, birds, marine mammals, sea turtles).

Used on a recent fishing trip and had severe sun burn on face. My mistake was in not applying every 2 hours, but still surprised that I did not get good protection . Make sure to apply VERY frequently.

We conduct rigorous testing on our sunscreens to meet both U.S. and international standards for efficacy but no sunscreen can fully guarantee against sunburn. Two of the most common contributors to lowered protection are underapplication and/or applying/reapplying sunscreen after a burn response has already been triggered. As an inflammatory response, a burn will continue to develop over time and cannot be reversed or avoided with the application of additional sunscreen. This was first time I used a mineral sun screen for 3 weeks while in the Caribbean. Although I try to limit my sun exposure to 15 minutes a day while on holiday, I still coat my face, shoulders and chest with sunblock to avoid sunburn. This product really did the job. even though I swam in a pool as well as the ocean several times each day, there is no need to recoat. It won't wash off, in fact it takes 2 scrubbings with soap and hot water to get most of it off.

Wow am I impressed. This is the first non-toxic sunscreen I've used that satisfies in every way. Blocking the suns harmful rays for hours on end is the reason for using it of course and it does that perfectly. Application - goes on smooth and spreads easy with only a temporary and barely there white cast which quickly soaks in and disappears. Finally, this stuff stays on! Holds up under sweaty conditions. I haven't been in the water with it yet but hours after applied moisture beads up in my skin.

Lotion is thicker than traditional sunscreens, and this harder to work into your skin. However, it worked perfectly to prevent any sunburn during a beach vacation last week. As a melanoma patient, I highly recommend this product. Thank you, Badger!

My husband sweats profusely on the beach, this sunscreen STUCK to him, and protected him from being burnt. It goes on with no white cast and did not run with his sweat. It kept him covered all day long. We will be using Badger from now on!!

We use this every summer, it is thick and it works! I rub it together in my hands to warm it up before applying to my kids. My daughter has many allergies and this ingredient list allows me to protect her without causing any reactions.

Shocked that you are using plastic. When it comes out it has separated and shoots all over. Cut the plastic and discovered another two weeks of protection. Terrible waste and plastic. Ugh! Shocked that you would use plastic.

I have super, super, SUPER sensitive skin on my face following medication-induced sunburns. I've tried countless sunscreens, including the usual "gentle" ones like CeraVe and Vanicream. This is the ONLY sunscreen that I can wear every day (and reapply) that doesn't make my skin feel like it's burning. It is a bit heavy, but it doesn't leave a white cast on the level of the other zinc sunscreens I've tried. I sure hope they never stop making it.

I first tried this out because I needed something reef friendly while snorkeling in Mexico. I was worried about breakouts because the oil felt heavy but just the opposite, my skin completely cleared up and I didn't even wake up with new breakouts when the tequila prevented me from doing my PM skincare routine. I've started using this as my daily sunscreen on days that I'm just lounging around simply because my skin adores it, though I'm curious to try the new daily face sunscreen next! There is a shine and it is a heavier sunscreen but it's nothing I thought about beyond the initial application.

I only use Badger sunblock because it's all-natural in a way that others just aren't. But I absolutely loved the tinted version for my face - UV protection AND coverage of imperfections. Oh well.

I have had skin cancer and I like to golf. So, I rely on Badger products because of their high ratings from the Environmental Working Group (EWG). The sunscreens are Zinc Oxide and do not contain harmful chemicals.
