Q: Is it wood and Can it be painted

A: It is crafted of MDF bamboo. Yes it can be painted but the laminated surface need to be removed.

Great. Looks nice, spouse seemed to find it easy to assemble, haha. Admittedly I am not subjecting it to heavy use and I wouldn’t recommend using the drawer a ton, but for some light items it’s fine.

This desk is the perfect size for a kids room and I wish I could rate it higher. We own 3 desks, all 3 were easy to put together with easy to follow instructions. We bought the desk a few years apart, as our kids grew into needing a desk. All 3 desks have the same issue, the drawer support bar of the front plate has come unglued on one or both sides making the drawer unusable. This part comes fully assembled from the factory, 2 of our children rarely use their drawers but still have experienced the same issue. We will be gluing and possibly screwing this piece back into place for the second time on one of the desk and the first time for the other two.

This little corner desk is a gem. Real bamboo, lovely quality, and relatively easy to assemble (says my spouse, haha). Delivery was quick, and it is perfect for its application as a bedroom unit. Price was right, too; most other desks for corners or smaller areas were either very modern metal and glass, office-type wheeled units that were slightly more expensive or, alternately, way too elaborate hardwood, quite expensive productions.
