Banana Boat Moisturizing Aloe After Sun Lotion - 16oz

What has happened to this product??? I recently purchased a new bottle and discovered on my first use that it was like water. I thought the product must have been expired or old because it had also had an weird medicinal scent. So I took it back to the retailer where I purchased to exchange, but ALL of the bottles on the shelf were like this - purely liquified. As I began searching other retailers, I realized the formula has changed. THIS IS AWFUL! I have been using this body lotion for 2 decades. I use it year around, not just in summer. So I am well versed in how the product should look, feel and smell. It has always been very moisturizing and I always got compliments on my fragrance, (I don't wear perfume so it was this lotion.) Now, this gross new version has the consistency of buttermilk and does not hold in moisture on your skin like it did before. Now, you pump it onto your hand and it will run out of your palm before your hand can reach your leg. Not to mention the fragrance, which now has a medicinal scent like it came from the hospital. Unfortunately, I won't be buying anymore now. Makes me very sad. They have lost me as a customer.

I’ve used this for years. The new bottle I just got is thin and goes on greasy plus it stinks. Why do they have to change things????

Just bought a new bottle. It is runny and smells bad! Quit changing the formula!!!!!!! I will need to find a new product!

WHY DID YOU CHANGE THE INGREDIENTS IT IS NOW WATER USED THIS FOR 40 YEARS and it used to be great and thick and moisturizing Not anymore WILL NOT BUY ANYMORE

I’ve been using this after sun lotion as an everyday lotion for 20 years or longer, however it looks like I’m going to have to change to another lotion as they have reformulated this product and it is too runny now. It use to be much thicker. Ingredients list Looks like they are not adding as much coconut oil. They did this during the height of COVID but changed it back afterwards. Looks like it is this way for good now, so I won’t be using it anymore. I’m on my last bottle and will not buy this new formula.

This lotion has been a staple in my home for decades. The past several years it keeps getting worse. I just purchased a new bottle and it smells horrible. It no longer moisturizes well either. I will nor be buying anymore Banana Boat products.

Love, love, love. I’m now using it every day as a moisturizer and my skin looks amazing and healthier. Not greasy, holds in moisture. Pleasant scent for someone who is sensitive like me.

This new formula which flip-flopped a handful of the ingredients around is awful. The smell is just offputting. The texture is thin and it makes my skin sticky when it dries and soaks into my skin, which is disgusting. I have been a Banana Boat Moisturizing After Sun lotion user since probably 2000 and I’m devastated with this most recent change. I am very brand loyal to Banana Boat but I think that will be changing. This formula is (c) 2020 and is not the same as (c) 2018 which is what I want. Terrible lotion, don’t buy!

I have bought two bottles of this recently after having used this since I was about 25 so maybe 35 years! These two bottles are both so runny. I just can’t even use them and it is not doing the job that it did previously leaving my face dry feeling even after use. If I can’t find the original, I will switch to something else! I’ve used this after sun lotion for most of my adult life, pretty much the only lotion I use regularly. I was so disappointed when I bought a new one last week and it was so watery it mostly all dripped off my hand onto the floor before I could even apply it. How is this even considered “lotion”? So disappointed, it’s not even useable, will never buy this again.

The formula has changed and now it is so runny it reminded me of milk! Why did it change?

This new version is the worst. It smells terrible, feels thin and watery on the skin, and I completely broke out in hives. This used to be the only lotion I used, then they changed the formula and I have never been so disappointed. I only hope the company comes to its senses and switches back to the old tried and true formula since all the reviews here echo the same sentiment.

I have been using this product for 15+ years and this new formula is watery and low quality. Looks like I need to find a new aloe lotion. This was my absolute favorite year round! Listen to the reviews & don’t buy. Please bring back the original formula.

Bought last year and was surprised the viscosity of product was close to water.use it in your hand quickly or it drips everywhere.I thought it was a fluke.just one and was shocked then read reviews. LIQUIDIFLATION Is a good description ..let me know when old formula is available in Portland or even send me one.. Ps I’ve been using product for decades.

The key to this is use it as stage 2 of the treatment. Hit the burn with Aloe gel first until the initial burning sensation has eased and it feels less hot. Maybe 4 or 5 applications of the Gel a few hours apart. Then start applying this lotion. This stuff takes away the touch sensitivity and prevents peeling in most cases. The burns heal much quicker using this. I won't go without it now.

This used to be my favorite after-sun lotion, but I just bought a new bottle and the new formula is much too watery! I can see I'm not the only one who feels this way, so I hope this issue will be addressed.

Bottles appear to be full, but when you go to use, it pours out like water. It's watered down and no line longer what it used to be.

This is my go to after sun lotion. I use it everyday actually. From the scent and texture everything is perfect for my skin.

So painful, had a second degree burn and used this, now I have a worse burn
