I love the night and convenience of the grill. The standard accessory’s make it easy to apply just the right amount of heat to what you are cooking. It cleans up well and stores easy.

Been grilling for years, and this rig takes the cake. It's sturdy without being a pain to lug around, and the options it gives for cooking are amazing. Used it for everything from veggie slow-cooks and stock pot recipes to grilling chicken breast and steak sears.

I've been eyeballing the cowboy grills for a couple of years. This year, I finally got one. We didn't have any firewood on hand so we used charcoal for our first cooking foray with this grill, and we think we need to use firewood. When only cooking for two people, the bowl is so deep that you have to use a LOT of charcoal to get the heat high-up enough to cook a steak. But, we've had a good time with it. The side table and overhead bar for hanging utensils are brilliant. I'm looking forward to making a cast-iron pot stew next. Excellent grill set-up. Nicely made.
Great camping grill

We go camping for two weeks every summer and we replaced our old firepit with this one, and we loved it. The legs put it high enough that cooking over it was much easier than a lower one, and as a bonus, the smoke (stupid green wood!) floated over people's heads instead of into faces. We cooked over this fire every day, and it never let us down.

Functionally, it’s works great! I was a little disappointed in overall quality of build. I thought overall the materials were a little on the light side which make me suspect to its long term durability. It’s a great design, versatile with the added height and I love how large the bowl is. I would recommend beefing up the grate and poles and putting a pin at the base of the pole so when you raise the grate the pole does not come out. I also think it should come with 2 grates for the price . They shipped immediately, I was impressed.

If this set up was half the price, I would have no complaints, but for the high cost I expected better quality. The thin steel and quality of construction are disappointing. This grill is lightweight and wobbly. The wobble is due to the poor leg design. The legs are removable but could have been designed to fit more securely. The grate design could also be improved. The grate has metal tabs that guide it along rim so you can rotate it to different heat zones. With the overhead bar installed, the rotation is extremely limited because the guide tabs hit the posts. You have to lift the grate all the way off the grill to maneuver around the posts- not ideal if there’s already food on the grate. An improvement would allow smooth 180 rotation, only stopping when the handle reaches a post. You could just take the overhead bar off, but that limits your cooking, especially if you also purchased a second half grate to use higher up on a post. Finally, I was disappointed that the side table I also purchased arrived bent. This was curious because there was no damage to the packaging and appeared to have been sent that way.

1st impression after setup was, "this is a big grill!" - especially since I added the 2nd grate. Our introductory cook was wings. I felt like I wouldn't be able to screw up wings. I was right...though I had to struggle to keep the fire hot enuff, the wings came out nice and juicy with a pretty crispy skin. I started thinking then, "how many wings CAN we cook with both racks full?" Many, many we could ever eat without a small army to feed. I learned from that first cook that I'd better have plenty of wood on hand if wanted to to cook a long time (2 hours or more).2nd cook was half a chicken - a big chicken. I built a much larger fire and let it burn down quite a bit before putting the bird on the rack. Still not knowing how hot it was at grate level, I kept holding my hand to fire as I lowered it to a good, hot level. It's still hit-or-miss, but I feel more confident that I'll be able to bring forth some really good food for our friends and neighbors. I'm a "firebug"- have been for years so this is right up my alley and I love the challenge of learning new things even at 75.I researched the others cowboy grills and ALMOST purchased one. I saw it in the store and saw it was pretty flimsy material and looked thru the Googled items again. That's when I saw this one. I'm glad I pulled the trigger. The folks were quick to ship it to me and I had it assembled in minutes (attach the four legs).I highly recommend this grill - more to the experienced cooks with a good understanding of fire management. I'm sure more videos will be posted on YouTube so that the less experienced will be able to learn how to use it.The ONLY thing I would change would be more holes than three in the bottom for more air to the fire.

Great grill to take and use anywhere and feed a lot of people, the only issue I have is that you need a grill on the bottom so the coals don’t suffocate by the ash
