Q: Is the bottom compartment for cards supposed to stay closed? Just opened ours and it doesn't stay closed so it drags on the floor when we wheel the bus.
submitted by Elliott - 1 year ago
A: Hi Elliot. Please make sure the latch is completely snapped in, in order for the door to stay closed. Thank you. The Battat Team

Excellent quality. Excellent stem toy. Starting at 18 months, my toddler granddaughter absolutely loves this educational toy and the little story book that comes with it. As she's gotten older, she likes matching the faces on the eggs with the faces on the cards, which store neatly in a compartment on the underside of the bus. It was a terrific purchase!

My 18-month-old loves to mouth this toy. She is too young to understand the emotions, but she opens all of the eggs and can put some of them back together.
Such a Fun & Fabulous Learning Toy!

Bought this wonderful toy as a Halloween gift for my 18 month old granddaughter. She learned really quickly to recognize facial expressions, and can also pull the eggs apart and then put them back together again. This is not as easy as it sounds, since there are different shapes and colours that need to be matched up in order for the eggs to fit back together again. However, this toy holds the attention of both the children who are learning and adults who are helping them. Everybody at one point was on the floor playing with it.

Speech therapist here! Both my neurotypical and neurodivergent patients LOVE these! This is one of my top requested and used toys! The eggs are bright, they spin, “carton” opens/closes, and it has wheels! It’s perfect to address vocabulary and short phrases as well as emotions! The emotions on each egg are clear and adorable! The matching emotion cards make it even better!

Great design but the manufacturing not so much the design eggs are constantly undoing themselves.

Hi Christophe - Thank you for your feedback. This is the first time we have heard that the eggs come apart easily. Perhaps you should consider taking your unit in for an exchange at the store where it was purchased. You may have received a defective unit.

This is the second one I've purchased. Toy has multiple options for play. I use it with my clients with ASD. One can learn emotions, practice the faces, and match the faces. Super easy to read story is included. They open and have shapes inside. You can use those as stamps in play dough or clay. Also numbered-counting options. They can be used for sorting. And imaginative play cracking them open to make eggs! Or you can makes up stories yourself. Lastly, they spin very well. Awesome toy good for instruction and fun!
Get it! Big bang for the buck

Suuuuch a cute toy and “game”. My toddler is obsessed with the bus part, even with no eggs inside lol. The eggs have great little faces, and double as play food too.

Perfect for open ended play - these little eggs win “best Christmas gift” in our family. My kids have played with them more than anything else! 1.5 year old can match the shapes to put them together and 5 year old gets the faces and feelings.

This is a great gift for a range of ages, from 2 to about 7 years old. It's so versatile, as it can be used educationally to teach colors, shapes, and feelings! Creative children can come up with many other ways to play with it too. The feelings cards and little book are an extra bonus. I have given this bus as a gift to several children and use it professionally in social/emotional learning sessions with young school aged children!
Great toy for all ages!

I got this for my 28 month old niece for Christmas, she loves it! There’s a lot to this toy that makes it a good buy for the smart baby in your life - counting, shapes, colors, emotions, motor skills. Plus, the dozen eggs in the carton is super cute! I recommend this for that special baby in your life.

It’s great for my two years old. And there’s a lot of pieces and mine was missing two pieces out of the whole thing. The company told me there’s nothing they can do about it.

This toy covers so many bases. School bus obsession (with working wheels and a lid that is easily opened but also resilient enough for a 4 year old to play with it)? Check. Egg matching (like Ms Rachel)? Check. Learning about emotions both visually AND through storytelling? Check! OH- And in case you needed more- physics? Because the eggs are weighted and they wobble and they have familiar shapes AND some fancy ones (like a crescent moon, and both a hexagon AND a pentagon, which is cool) and the emotions included are not only the basics (happy sad mad) but also more complex ones (confused, proud, shy) which I think is great! It comes with a little story book that helps the children about identity and learn about the different emotions, and includes a set of cards for each emotion which gives more details and tips, including a mirror card, so that the child can try to convey the various emotions themselves! Love this so much. Great for a wide age range bc it covers several years of developmental stages and can evolve with the child and be modified for a younger or older child- I’d say age 1-6? Whenever they are able to walk and talk, it makes for a good time to start learning about emotions and if you’re going to get an egg matching set, why not just get one that serves multiple purposes? Also- school bus. Kids love those things!
