The game itself is fine, however the box they brought it in to my car was so damaged that I cannot possibly give as a gift. So crazy!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure if I just didn't know what I was doing, but the game of Battleship seems a little hard to follow the rules. I played with my younger son, who never had before. We had fun picking coordinates and waiting to see if we chose the right one. The sound effects were pretty cool and made it more fun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The initial setup takes a minute, but it's nothing too tedious. The game is recommended for 8 and up, and my 10 year old had no issues with setting things up and following the directions provided in the box. He really enjoyed the electronic aspects of this game because it tells you when you hit or miss instead of it coming from the opposing player. As a mom who likes to keep things organized, I really appreciate that we are able to fit all the pieces back in the game compartments when packing it up to store it after playing a game. My son and I definitely recommend this to others. If you like the original Battleship game, you will love this electronic version!

It’s a lot of fun. The downside has been it restarts after you’ve sunk 3 ships. Not sure why it keeps happening. Overall it’s a very fun game, wish it wouldn’t restart before it’s supposed to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my two youngest kids, ages 8 and 10, try to set up and play the game. On initial setup, I had to help put together and explain how to play. You can do a custom layout or one of the standard options on the cards they give you. For younger kids, the card layouts are easier because for the custom layout you need to input the first and last coordinate of each ship. Overall my kids enjoy the game, and after the initial setup and instruction, they can play on their own without assistance. It takes more time overall then the original battleship game, but my kids like the additional sound effects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading the directions and finally getting things organized we got down to business. The game plays just like the standard game. Setting up the ships does take a bit of work but it’s not hard. The sound effects are cool. They make the game a bit more fun. We never figured out how to use the orange pieces so we didn’t play with them. The parts don’t all fit inside the game so we had to use ziplock bags. Over all it’s a fun game but setting it up take some work and storage takes up a lot of room. Over all it’s a fun game but not sure how often we will play it.

You can choose standard version or the advanced version. It does the work for you. Blowing up each other’s ships is just so much fun. It’s a simple concept that keeps you on your toes.

My son has always liked playing battleship, but this version makes it more fun with the voices, the ship hit sound effects and ship sinking sound effects. You can choose your own ship layout or there are premade layouts you can choose from. The game features storage compartments for all of your pieces and folds up nicely which makes for easy cleanup. We enjoy playing this game almost nightly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fun game! I agree with the age range it might be a little hard to set up for some kids to do on their own. I feel like the game play is a little slow with all the extra options and could get a little boring. I love that it is all set in the system, it prevents kids from cheating by moving their ships. I love the automations as well it makes for an exciting game especially when you hit an enemy ship. One downside is storage, its not easy to just close and put away, and not all the parts has a place for storage. But other than that its a great game, my family loves it!

We played the original battleship, but this one looks like a lot of fun. I like that it is electronic in a little bit more updated.
