Bell + Howell Bionic Color Changing LED Rope Lights, USB and Solar Powered

These are the worst lights ever. They only stay on for a couple of hours with a full day direct sun exposure. I started using the USB charger until the USB port fell into the solar panel. Just a waste of my good hard earned money. No more Bell & Howell for me this is the second product I have purchased of theirs and neither one was worth a cent.

I hooked it up on my patio around all my other items. Couldn[t wait to see it work. It never came on, even after 3 days of sunlight. I will have to undo the whole thing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lights perform well, the motion sensors work as described and the blinking red light makes it look as if it’s a part of our security system. Price was what I expect to pay for solar lights that are functional. They blend into the landscaping nicely. Easy installation when ground has been softened by rain or watering. In a very large yard, these lights are perfect for areas where we don’t want to expand our low voltage landscape lights it yet we want a light to turn on if a fox, coyote, raccoon, opossum, snake, etc. are approaching and we are outside with our dog. I’m happy with the lights.

The solar panel fits right down into my landscaping so I thought that was great also. I really liked how there were several options for the lights on the remote also. Very fun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bell + Howell bionic rope light is made from very durable material. I love the different functions of how you can set the lights. You could either have clear or colored lights. You can mix it up to where it uses all colors. The remote only works if the solar power panel is extremely visible so I don’t use the remote often. I absolutely love the fact that these are solar powered, and they have lit up every single night since we hung them. Hopefully the solar panel works for a very long time. I have not had to charge them since hanging them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for more backyard seating area. I wanted nice lighting, but didn't have any plugs to use. Thankfully solar powered lights exist. The choice of color is great, and they are so flexible that it makes installation so easy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the price, these are good. I haven’t noticed that any water has gotten inside the plastic rope part, or that any lights are out. But it’s hard to keep the solar panel in the sun long enough to get a good charge. I wish the solar panel was bigger. Great lights otherwise though!

We took them down in the house and even put them around our front door for a birthday celebration. We’re going to pack them away and use them sporadically over the next year or so.

They’re really lightweight and way more durable than I expected. The remote works well and doesn’t have to be directly in front of the receiver to work. I highly recommend these!

The lights are really bright with a lot of different options like blinking, fade and constant. They are controlled by a remote control on the back of the solar panel controller. The solar charged super fast and then the lights lasted a long time on one charge. There's a lead off of the lights to the solar panel so you can hang the lights then move the panel around to where the sunlight is. It also comes on a small reel to keep them organized. I can't wait to take these camping or to use for outdoor decorations.

The lights are long and cover the entire perimeter of the room I have them set up in. Makes for an aesthetic setting.

They are very pretty and I like that they have a remote.

I love that you can change the colors and the lights are so pretty. I also love how long the strand is, it wrapped perfectly around his room, and they’re easy to use with the remote.

I also like how it comes with a remote control to use to change the different settings. I can either leave them white or they can be colored. They also blink. I would definitely recommend these lights.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost, the instructions are not as clear as they should be. One, you need to turn the on button on the back of the solar panel on before using on and off on the remote control. Secondly, the lights worked inside our home which wasn't that dark inside but once we had them all wrapped around our back fence we were unable to get them to stay on by remote or manually in the back of solar panel. It should be on there they don't work at all under any amount of light outside. Even though they did in. So after spending time unwrapping what we did bringing them back inside we finally figured out on our own.. then back outside to once again wrap the fence panels. Also the back where battery is doesn't have great instructions that you need to pinch back before sliding to pull out. It's barely noticeable when all in white. Other than that, very long.. 50' total plus extra cord to the panel. Bad concept that you cannot take the panel off Itself to charge. Rather, you HAVE to roll out an extension cord with a USB plug to charge if your plan is using outside. Should have made it so the solar panel unplugged from the wire so you could bring inside. I know when it's snowy here I'm not going to want a USB charger in the elements to charge if it's not sunny. And nobody is going to take down 50ft of lights everytime it needs to be charged but there's not enough sun to do so.
