Q: Want to purchase 2 checkered ottomans BUT I'm plan to use for seating regularly. MANY reviews about broken legs is bad Has Studio McGee fixed to make more sturdy? Or will they fix in future runs?

These parson-style ottomans are so stinking cute. The fabric feels nice to the touch, the seams and check patterns align nicely, they are comfortable to sit on, and overall they are excellent quality for the price. Best of all, these are extremely versatile and can be used as an ottoman to prop your feet on, extra seating in a living room, as a bench at the foot of a bed or in a walk-in closet, or as a vanity stool in a bathroom. I got the "blush" color which is really a begire and ivory buffalo plaid. I am impressed with how sturdy they feel despite being lightweight. And also the fact that I purchased two and the plaid is lined up perfectly on each one. The legs are slightly askew on both but not super noticeable. There are visible staples on the inside of the legs, which doesn't show unless turned upside down, but I felt it looked cheap and unfinished regardless. Otherwise, this is a cute ottoman and very versatile.

I love these. Lightweight and soft and the perfect size, but they are DEFINITELY darker in real life than the picture here. Check the other user generated pictures. More of a beautiful dark mossy green vs a sage green as seen in merchandise pictures.

This ottoman matches my Westelm chair pretty closely. And my husband wanted an ottoman for his side of the couch. So with the two matching, I figured this was a good option. It’s a decent size and a decent height. My one and only complaint and the reason why I took off one star is that it collects every piece of hair and every piece of dust so you’re consistently cleaning it. Other than that, it’s well constructed and a good piece.

The ottoman is nice and the upholstery is done well, however the color of the brown velvet is quite different from the pictures online. Instead of a warm cream brown the color is more of a light grey with a cooler tone than I was expecting.

Everything about this ottoman is beautiful. The velvet, the color, and the design. is amazing. Unfortunately, it was too large for our space. It would be perfect for us, if it was the size of a foot stool. We have many items from Thresehold and they are all amazing. They have a "Pottery Bar/Crate and Barrel look" at Target prices!

Bought these ottomans to put at the end of the bed for my son to climb up the bed. I was concerned about the complaints of broken legs. I can see it is not as sturdy and can be a bit wobbly if I move back and forth hard enough, but I think it’s good for what I’m looking for. The color is a taupe/light brown as mentioned in the description. On the picture, it looks beige, but it’s def light brown. 5 stars for aesthetics, maybe a 4 for function
