At first, that's all it was. Long ago, we were making brownie ice cream sandwiches for sale in grocery stores. Sometimes there would be broken pieces in the brownie delivery, and we'd nab them for flavor experiments. What would brownie pieces taste like in chocolate ice cream? Pretty good, as it turns out! That original experimental flavor eventually became the legendary ice cream concoction known as Chocolate Fudge Brownie
Meanwhile, Ben Cohen had met Bernie Glassman, the founder of Greyston Bakery, a Yonkers, New York, USA-based company with a mission to end poverty and give back to the community. Equally important, their brownies were just so darn good after sampling some, Ben handwrote a note asking for two truckloads of brownie pieces. While we knew Greyston would be the ideal supplier for turning Chocolate Fudge Brownie into a flavor sold by the tub, getting the brownies to cooperate wasn't easy. After about 25 batches of brownies and six months of work, the flavor finally debuted in 1991, and it's been a hit ever since

This is my favorite ice cream, it has been forever, but today was a bummer. I don't know if you guys changed the recipe but there where absolutely no chunks of fudgy brownies. It was a mess, pure like chocolate syrup. Even the ice cream seems off. I'm confused, I surely hope you guys aren't making shortcuts for it to be cheaper to make. I'm sad.

This is my favorite ice cream cause of the brownie bites that can be found. I'm a person of texture and today my ice cream tasted different. There where no chunks, just plain like some type of syrup chocolate. I wonder if you guys changed the recipe. Im sad.

This is one of the best ice creams I've had. It has that rich chocolaty taste and on top of that, the brownies pieces are heavenly. The texture sometimes varies from jar to jar but it's equally delicious. I wish they came in bigger sized tubs, it would be quite expensive to buy other wise. Lots of sugar, that is something I do not like about it but other than that, it's pretty solid.

My mom introduced me to B&J when I was a young teenager, IYKYK. Chocolate fudge was my choice that day and is my choice today some 20 years later. Thus ice cream is what dreams are made of. Not to be dramatic, but if I ever gets discontinued I not have a will to live. No pressure.

I personally really like the chocolate fudge brownie ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s because I love how the serving side is like one that you could actually like eat and put back for later and I really love the ingredients in the flavor too and the packaging is just adorable and I love how the texture is like so smooth.
