I have 2 of these and noticed some black stuff coming out of the lid where the vent button is. I broke open the lids and the inside of the lid is hollow and both are filled with mold. I attempted to contact Bentgo & explained the situation and got back 1 e mail about how to clean a bentgo plastic box, not a thermos, and then when I e mailed back again I got another e mail about how to clean a humidifier. Thanks for no help. We will not be using these ever again since every time you press the vent button you are getting mold on your food and there is no way to clean inside the lid without breaking it.

Not sure about the pressure release on this one. Because it's right under the handle, it really is a huge challenge to press while turning the handle. My husband had to twist the cover off the first time we opened it, because the seal was so tight.

Afternoon lots of research I settled on this container. However, I’m very sad to say that even with pre-heating it does not keep my food hot. I’m only trying to get it as far as lunch time, but it’s barely tepid. Seriously disappointed as I had high hopes.

I purchased this product in the lead up to winter as o love my soups. Despite warming my meals up for an extended period of time in before placing into the bentgo container, 4 hours later my soup is cold! Not even warm. For the price of the product I’m very disappointed

I couldn’t open it by myself. You need to push in a button while turning the the top. The problem is, the button is right beneath the handle you have to hold while turning. I couldn’t push down on the button and with enough strength

Keeps cold food cold yet only keeps hot foods warm after 3-4 hr, even when you "heat" the container with hot water first. Still getting used to opening the vacuum sealed lid. Overall, a fairly well made product.
