I generally make Alfredo sauce from scratch and nothing compares but this, this, comes close. It delicious, fast, and easy. I highly recommend. If you trying to save time and energy, this is a great substitute for homemade.

Soybean Oils are highly inflammatory. They should not be in any sauce for any reason whatsoever. Highly toxic to your body

My trick is to saute mushrooms, broccoli and onions in a little butter; add precooked shrimp, garlic and white wine. After a few minutes, pour in the Alfredo sauce and some Parmesan Cheese. Only takes a few minutes to heat, then pour all over hot Fettucine noodles and WOW!! Restaurant quality. Always have some left in jar, so I add that to my homemade tuna or cheese and mac casseroles. What's there not to love???

Why are so many labels online not showing what is actually on current labels? It's shocking how many labels now have either "genetically engineered ingredient(s)", or, the hiding of it by "scan the qr code for more information". Guess all the non-genetically modified food is exported.

Bertolli vs Prego
5 out of 5 stars
Abba - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
Prego tastes exactly like condensed cream of mushroom soup minus the mushroom, which is to say, it's oily, mushy, flavorless. I really think Prego is cooked water, soybean oil, and milk. It's so bad. Bertoli is still good quality. It is an oil based sauce, and of course making it from scratch is better. I like to pour the first half of the jar into a freezer quart bag and freeze it for another day. I pour the second half on top of under-cooked spaghetti. Then I rinse the jar, pour into the spaghetti, bring to simmer over medium, reduce heat, cook about 10 minutes on low. That way the sauce is cooked, and reduced, and it's pretty good. Just don't buy Prego alfredo.
Cannot Use Because of Ambiguous Ingredients List

A number of people have medical conditions requiring they know what is actually in what they eat. I'm one - severe pain for hours a day for two weeks if I don't watch it. I can have some spices and not others. I really wish vendors would stop listing ambiguous nonsense in the ingredient list like "Spices". You're not losing out on anything... it's not as if without knowing your processes and ratios someone is going to duplicate your recipe commercially.
It's good
