Spicey can mean a full range of flavors including hot or not. This sauce was spicey in the HOT sense. Not for me! The HOT wiped away the umami.

The fact that this sauce has both results in an umami rich and the spice adds further complexity to the sauce. It feels fresh and natural because it has texture; I usually use more traditional flavors and this was a good change of routine.

I was a little nervous with the sauce title stating it was spicy. Our family is split when it comes to hot and mild. Boy was this a win. So much so there was nothing, but an empty sauce pan. Even my lil guy 20 months enjoyed it all over his face. I'm just bummed I didn't get the photos to share. Go try it.

Not overwhelming spicy but just enough to add a kick to your dish but the sausage is not so prominent in the sauce. Overall a nice addition any Italian dish. It is made with basic sauce ingredients some cheese garlic, olive oil, onions, salt and pepper which all work in harmony. It is easy to add to many recipes for an extra punch of flavor. You can heat it over the stove or add it directly to your dishes and let it warm up as you cook it. It pairs well with any shape pasta, breadsticks , garlic knots and either eggplant or chicken Parmesan meal. It’s that tasty.

It comes in glass bottle with sturdy lid. Expect rich texture with some spices. I liked the ingredient list as it looks natural and healthy. Overalls, it is a nice tomato sauce for meatballs or pasta. I would try other sauces of this brand.

This spicy Italian sausage sauce was quite enjoyable. It wasn’t too sweet, thanks to no added sugar in the sauce - which is something I always check for. It tasted fresher than many other jarred sauces I have tried. It wasn’t too thin or too thick. It was a very good and quick pasta sauce for a week night meal.

I would suggest adding extra protein like ground beef or chicken breast to include more protein in the meal since the sauce itself didn’t have that much protein. The sauce tasted pretty good with the pasta I tried, and it was easy to prepare since I just had to heat the sauce in a pan with the cooked pasta. I would buy this sauce again and recommend others to try it as well.
