A: The (black) Adirondack chair comes pre-painted for weather protection. If desired clear sealant maybe used.

A: Natural finish means no stain or wood protection. Hemlock wood is used throughout this chair which has natural weather resistance properties, however applying some stain with weather sealant will help longevity.

After putting this chair together, within the first use, the arm rest fell off, and the chair was very unstable. I had a carpenter reattach the arm with screws and wood glue, and it fell off again. Poor craftsmanship for this item.

This item comes completely disassembled! It took twice of us almost 2 hours to put it together. All of the parts were there, but what a pain! I purchased two, but after putting one together one, returned the second. Not worth the $$ for what we got!

Poorly engineered. The predicted holes do not line up and after too much failed wrestling I gave up and returned it. So frustrating. I would like to see an executive meeting where they actually tried to assemble this. I'm guessing it wouldn't be pleasant in there.

DO NOT BUY!! Absolutely horrible quality! After just a few weeks, it started to break. We considered returning them, but they took soooo long to assemble that we didn't want to go through that again. We thought maybe we could still use them or fix them (I know, ridiculous). Now they are actually dangerous, with screws sticking out and pieces of wood cracking and breaking after only light use. Target's answer? Nothing they can do. I was told to talk to the seller. I talk to the seller and they tell me there's nothing they can do and that I must talk to Target... No one is taking responsibility for this terrible product! What a waste of money!

I would give this ZERO stars if I could. The wood these are made out of is super thin and brittle feeling. Both my spouse and I are over 100 lbs less than the alleged weight capacity, but the chairs feel like they might break any time we have tried to sit in them. We have had them outside for about a month and they are cracking and peeling already. It doesn't matter that we got these on sale, they are way too poor quality for even a reduced price.

This is the worst product I've ever purchased through Target. The nuts didn't fit the bolts. One of the pieces of wood cracked when I screwed it to another. It was too unstable for me to even consider sitting on it. Takes far longer than the suggested 45 minutes to assemble.

Do NOT buy these chairs. Terrible quality. After two weeks outside, the paint was chipping off and the wood was cracking. Every time we sat in the chair it would creak loudly and paint chips would be all over our arms and legs. Save yourself the hassle of having to build these.
