Trojan Records - The Best of Lovers Rock Vol. 1 is one of five LPs in a series of newly created Trojan Records compilations celebrating the 2015 re-launch of the infamous Trojan Records reggae label. In the mid-1970's, many British Reggae fans found fulfillment in the first home-produced style to be successfully exported to Jamaica: Lovers Rock. This romantic style continued to dominate the UK scene well into the eighties and beyond. This set features 10 of the best known Lovers Rock tracks from John Holt, The J Sisters, Elizabeth Archer & The Equators, Sonya Spence, and many others.
