Q: Any artificial sweeteners?
submitted by hc - 7 years ago
A: As answered in one of the questions above; sucralose is listed as a sugar sweetener, and discovered Acesulfame potassium, a calorie-free sugar substitute is as well.
submitted bySixty - 7 years agoA: Be aware...sucralose is SPLENDA, an artificial sweetener. No thanks.

this doesnt taste bad but i wish there weren’t sesame seeds in it. it’s a very smooth texture but the crunch of the sesame seeds ruin it and i spend forever taking those out. its not for me.

I tried this product and my mind was blown. The texture is perfect, the flavor is phenomenal, and it has nutritional value. I'm very picky and I loved it!

This has a fake sweet taste to it. I added a SMALL amount of salt to counter it, and it was okay after that

I eat this several days a week for breakfast and no complaints in my end. Unlike the brown sugar oatmeals, this doesn’t stink up the microwave.
Love these!

I have no idea what the negative reviews are about. I’ve personally been eating ~1 box/week since I discovered it years ago — I only wish more stores would carry the “cinnamon roll” flavor! It’s the only one I eat and can’t recommend enough - thank you Better Oats! (+Target!)

I noticed it contains SUCRALOSE. AKA Splenda. If you are watching blood sugar and AIC, this is a sweetener to AVOID. Retracting my use and recommendation of this and other flavors. Highly disappointed.
It was promising, but it was a let down

I bought this because it seemed to have okay reviews and looked really promising. However, I'm horribly disappointed. It's barely edible and has this horrid aftertaste like I've eaten a mouthful of sweet and low. Not sure what the taste is coming from though, but it's impossible to cover up that nasty aftertaste flavor.

I used to love this oatmeal. I just bought a new box today and sadly something changed or they forgot to add the sugar and cinnamon or the flavoring at all. It tastes like plain oatmeal. I am nervous to eat it in case something else is wrong with it. I guess it's going in the garbage.
Some Packets - Boxes have Zero Flavor

Nutritionally great but inconsistent manufacturing, some boxes and packets have much more flavor and others have next to no or no flavor at all. They really need to learn how to mix the product. I have seen where the extra flavor "powder: is in some packets that have almost too much, and then others are like zero flavor at all.

I am so disappointed in the new box of cinnamon roll flavor better oats. The last box I had wad so delicious and this morning I ate something that was barely edible. I'm planning on being the opened box back and the second unopened box. I'm very sad about this formerly great cereal being ruined by whatever you did

This has been my favorite oatmeal for years but there was a giant chunk of what looked to be a cockroach’s back in one of the packs. Will be switching brands now.

My kids and I have been eating this oatmeal for years. The most recent box of this oatmeal tastes horrible now. It tastes like the cinnamon was replaced by coffee grinds. So gross now. What happened?

Disappointed and hot - 1 year ago, Verified purchaser
This was a very good oatmeal I really like it, it's much healthier than other brands. But don't make it like the directions that's way too much water and you'll have soup trust me I tried. Also I added extra cinnamon because I thought it needed it.
Has the recipe changed?

I have been eating this oatmeal for years and have always loved it. Just ordered three boxes and when I opened the box I bought, it had a bland taste-like they forgot to put cinnamon in it. I opened another box and it tasted the same. This is not the flavor I am used to. What is different? Very disappointed.
