The best part is, there is NO NYLON in any BetterBone. This is our large size which is recommended for large breeds (Dogs typically over 45 to 50 lbs). Our Classic flavor is hypoallergenic and really great for dogs with sensitive stomachs. Flaking is to be expected and is splinter resistant splinter. Our material flakes to better protect teeth and could be a little messy but this is to protect teeth! Not a meal replacement. Monitor your dog while chewing, like you would any other toy. Enjoy!

We have a medium dog and this bone got stuck in her mouth over her snout while she was chewing on it. She wailed in pain for at least 30 seconds to a minute while we tried to remove the bone. I'm returning mine as I do not like the design of this bone, and am terrified of my dog in pain like that again.

She immediately started chewing on it and seems to really enjoy it. The material doesn't appear cheap or or crumble like other plastic-type bones. I love that there are different textures on it to aid in keeping her teeth clean as well! This will definitely keep my dog happy and busy for a long time! I really like that it’s large and takes a long time for her to chew, she will carry this around the house with her for the weeks to come enjoying and chewing as much as possible. My pup has not put the Betterbone down since opening the package. He knew the box had something for him and he’s been chewing away. I love that it’s made with food grade ingredients and is nylon and BPA free and doesn’t splinter. She doesn’t like squeakers and is a big time chewer which has led to many shredded toys. I’ve seen the promise for hard core chewers and within a day the toy is destroyed. This toy has held up for a couple days already. I’m hopeful this will last longer than others. My dog is 55lbs and the small was actually ok for her. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog is a chewer and can destroy a toy in the matter of minutes so I am always on the lookout for products that will last. I was excited for him to try BetterBone chew toy because it’s natural, contains no nylon and is splinter resistant . When I first introduced it to him, he was pretty disinterested. He sniffed it and licked it a few times but, paid it no mind. I was really surprised considering my boy has not met a toy he doesn’t like. I just left it there and imagine my surprise when I found him chewing the bone on his bed about an hour later! He was chewing away and it held his interest for a few hours. It’s now the next day and he hasn’t paid it any attention. Overall, it is really hard and will stand up to mighty jaws but, there is something about it that’s not holding my dogs interest. The small bone is 6 inches so it was a fine size for my medium sized dog but I wouldn’t leave him unattended when chewing it. I wouldn’t recommend for a small dog. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been searching for a bone for Hiro for years, as he's a notorious super chewer. Nylon bones were the most durable option on the market, but BeneBones would quickly end up covered with plastic shards. Hiro would end up ingesting so much plastic he would vomit. Other bones we have tried have splintered, posing a serious risk. I'm excited about the BetterBone because it's made of food-grade cellulose and vegetable oil, doesn't need to be replaced as frequently because there are no nylon shards, and it doesn't splinter. It also apparently tastes great because Hiro carries it with him everywhere! Based on this positive experience, I will be purchasing a larger size for Hiro.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 55lb 1.5 year old Labradoodle LOVES this chew. This is a great chew to keep her busy and stimulated. The design of the chew being a wishbone is great because she can use her paws to hold down the 2 sides as she chews on the other. She is very proud of her chew and brings it everywhere with her, granted it’s been 2 days but it hasn’t left her side in the 2 days we’ve had it. This chew is very very hard so if you have a dog that picks up and drops things a lot on purpose that’s something to be mindful of. I received an incentive to write this review.

Cooper is two years old and is still a pretty active chewer so I was excited to find something so durable and long lasting that he’ll just go to town on. The bone is large and a little heavy but he’s a large dog so he doesn’t have a problem carrying it around. This will last a long time due to the high quality and thickness. I have a very small dog, so not all toys are sized down for smaller dogs. We purchased the small size. And this is the classic classic flavor. My German Shepherd has been working on this one for a bit and hasn’t even made a dent. This is a hard dog to toy material and it lasts for a very long time. It is very durable and has no artificial flavors , my dog Charlie loved this toy and takes it with him everywhere. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vibe is more than twice the size of the small option. See pictures for reference. Definitely a small vs large with no medium in between haha. That being said it is kind of heavy. I gave it to my 80 pound lab mix and he could not hold on. Instantly dropped it. When he was lying down I tried bringing it to him but he showed no interest. He is a soft mouthed dog so maybe better for a hunter breed I received an incentive to write this review.
