I have been buying this same pen for years and it is my absolute favorite. I've never had one explode. They last a very long time and I just wish I could buy replacement ink. I always end up with just red and green left. The pen itself is still good and they pile up.

I finally found a four color pen! Glad the green is gone. I have been using BIC pens for decades. This is the FIRST one that had a defect...the two parts of the pen do not align properly. The two pieces are sharp and rub against the hand while in use. The hundreds of pens I have purchased over the decades have always been very well made, all parts flush and well put together. Perhaps being closed down for the pandemic has resulted in your skills being a bit rusty? I have been unable to find refills, so I will sand this pen down and continue to use it. Happy Anniversary!

I bought this a week ago and I found out its affordable and I like the product but I thing most of these 4 color pens is that I keep switching colors and it jams so I have to use another color to retract and use the color I want.

Dear Bic - I have been using the Bic 4-color pen since the 80's. It has always been my go-to pen of choice. As a teacher of more than 20 years the pen has been invaluable to me. Until, that is, you switched the green color to purple! What on earth would make you do this? Green was a different enough color from black, red, and blue that it was useful. Purple is too similar to blue to be useful to me as a teacher or a student. I will now have to switch to the PaperMate InkJoy multi-color pen, even though it is harder to find and more expensive, simply because they still have the color green. This was a terrible decision. Why change what was not broken? Why change the basics of your pen which made it a classic for the past 50 years? You celebrate the pen by fundamentally changing what it was and what made it so popular? This is a classic example of "corporate know-nothing"!

Until now, I had not used this pen since I was a kid in the 80s! It has a comfortable grip, it writes smooth, and the ink does not smear! I also love the purple ink, as I did not use the green in the original multi-color pen. I just ordered 5 more so I would not run out anytime soon!

This is a great pen! I’ve got a bunch of the ones with the fours colors (including green ink). My only concern is whether they are discontinuing the 4 colored pen with green ink. I use the green ink a lot.

I have seen this pen around in offices since I was a kid in the good old days of the 80's. This pen is the best 4 color ball pen EVER. Period! It writes super smooth, it looks great and it lasts very long. Also the large "MADE IN FRANCE" print on the side adds a lot of aura to the pen.

Each color (pen) writes well and smoothly. My only con is the pen is a bit fat in my hand but that's due to having 4 pens in one! The colors are blue, green, red, and black. I enjoy having different colors at my disposal for different needs.

Now years later (and mildly obsessed with pens) I use this pen almost daily. I need to make remarks in red and suggestions in blue so having this all in one pen is so handy!

Ive used it for regular writing as well as lining art work. I love that the colors come out bold and the best thing about it is that they do not smear and/or mix.

Yes, upon opening the package, I tried to force all the colors out at once. Still doesn't work, but gave me a nostalgic moment. The pen is so convienent. I work in an office setting, and need different colors for paperwork. It's an all in one pen. Can't beat it.

I use BIC's 4 colored pens for work all the time. I have instant access to different color to help make notes pop out. I've used these at work for the past 9 years and back when I was in an office I had to write my name on it to keep from losing it to people that were jealous! Ink flow is even, no clogging or blotting. I suppose a person could refill the pen but I just have enough of them so there is always one on my desk, in my purse, on the kitchen counter etc. Ink in these lasts a long time. I've used theses and tuck in b-day presents and stocking stuffers. My favorite pen of all time!
