Q: The packaging says 26 mechanical pencils, but when I examine the image, there are only 24. Where are the missing two?

submitted by Rmlowrie - 8 years ago
  • A: Sometimes graphic designers reuse images and modify them for advertising. The advertisement department of Target would be responsible for that mistake. Albeit a small mistake. The goal was to show mechanical pencils with the right amount number on it. They probably used an image of an earlier pack with 24. This makes sense from a desktop publisher view. Most average shoppers don't notice and the point is still made that the product is 26 pencils. However, If you see it in the store with 24 pencils yet advertised as 26 then it's outside of target's fault. You can bring this attention to the sales marketing or the help center at Target and point out the discrepancy.

submitted by samc83 - 8 years ago
  • A: Yes, the colorful barrel is sparkly, as well as the clip, which has a bit of a sparkle.
