Big Barker 4" Orthopedic Crate Bed

This is our third Big Barker product. We already have two Big Barker beds that our dogs enjoy. However, the beds are indeed BIG, and we needed something suitable for travelling. This extra-large crate pad is perfect for the back of the car and to take wherever we stay. Since it's a crate pad, it has a canvas-like cover. Our pit bulls are picky about what touches their skin (they're pretty much naked underneath), so a fleecy throw on top of the pad makes it comfy for them. Like our Big Barker beds, this is well-made, arrived quickly, and came in perfect condition even through it was listed as refurbished. It looks like it will last a long time, unlike store-bought dog beds that go flat in a few months. Big Barker products are definitely well worth the extra money.

Having bought the Big Barker Orthopedic Dog Bed Headrest Edition for my 7 year old rescued Doberman a couple of years ago and seeing how comfortable she is on it, I knew she would enjoy the Crate Pad also, which is where she sleeps in my bedroom at night. Superb quality, prompt customer service, and I feel good supporting an American company.

We needed a supportive crate bed for our new adopted family member. She's been afraid to leave her kennel and it was obvious that she wasn't getting good sleep/rest on the hard plastic. She absolutely loves the crate beds and is now sleeping comfortably throughout the day/night.

If you have a large dog, this is the best made product out there. My 13 yr. yellow lab has some arthritis and has difficulty getting up and down. This well made orthopedic bed has helped him so much. The bed is made of durable foam and the cover is solid too. My dog likes to scratch around before settling down and the cover has held up well. Most importantly, my dog loves his bed! Worth the price.

Bought this for our 4 month old great dane puppy. He was always restless through the night no matter what we did. Thought I'd take a chance and try this crate pad. So glad we did!!!! Atlas sleep through the night now!!!! Thanks BIG Barker!!! We'll be buying another bed AND the vehicle mattress!!!!

Our 40lb AmStaff mix doggo is a rescue who came to us at age 3 with painful tissue/joint issues. Over the last few years, she has had TPLO surgery on both her hind legs. She's on a pain management plan as she lives in constant pain. At times, we have her on laser therapy and/or water therapy to help her maintain strength and manage flare ups. About 3 weeks ago, I went into her laser therapy appointment for the first time ever (due to Covid protocols). The vet tech and vet were both on this amazingly sturdy dog bed, along with our doggo. I noted how sturdy the bed was underneath 2 adults and our doggo & I asked about the bed. Right then and there, I was educated about Big Barker. How grateful I am for that chance moment. I went home and ordered the 4" Crate Pad to add to our doggo's kennel, which is a favorite spot our doggo enjoys. Although she doesn't need the truly BIG Barker pads, at only 40lbs, she still needs sturdy bed support. Soon, we are going to invest in another pad for a different spot in the house. We can tell she feels better after sleeping on the Big Barker crate pad because she can get up easier after a longer slumber than when she slept on her previous cushy crate pad. I thought the previous crate pad was nicely padded but it pales in comparison to the Big Barker. I love that the Big Barker showed up days after I ordered it. I bought big barker bed with waterproof cover in 2012. It is still in near-perfect condition. I then added a crate pad, and this thing is amazing. Super durable material, and no visible seams or zippers for my girl to mess with out of boredom. She went through 3 other pads (that together cost as much as one Big Barker pad) in a matter of minutes each time! This has been a lifesaver to make sure she is comfortable and protected...from joint issues, calluses from hard surfaces, and ingesting foreign material that could result in costly vet bills. Big Barker is an investment that is totally worth it!

I have bought 2 beds and 2 crate beds. Love them all.

After reading all the reviews of the products and the company, we decided to buy a Big Barker crate pad for our @46 lb 8-month-old English Springer Spaniel. We find that Cooper sleeps much more soundly now than before. This pad is both soft to the touch and firm for support. Because our pup often sleeps against the sides of the crate, we folded two towels as mini bolsters. We are very happy with this purchase!

We bought the large crate pad for our 1year old boxer-mix, Axel. He is used to the 4 BBS we already own (2 for upstairs and 2 for downstairs!) The quality is top notch as is the service. The beds are made in the USA from material that can be trusted.

I’ve been looking for a crate bed for a long time that fit, and would support my senior big guy. Not only does this bed fit, but he loved it the first time he got into his crate. He gets up in the morning with a spring in his step and we don’t hear him moving around during the night to get more comfortable. We will only be shopping Big Barker in the future for our regular dog beds!

I bought 3 beds a few weeks ago. I bought 3 one for each of my dogs. We have 2 big dogs and a tiny one. We didn't want her to feel left out so she got one too. All 3 dogs love their beds!!!

The husband agreed to purchase the crate beds for our 2 Great Danes (reluctantly because of the price). He and I are amazed at the difference in where the dogs choose to lay down. They used to choose some bedding right next to where we are in the living room. Now they choose the Barker crate bed. We leave the crate doors open unless we leave the house or it’s bedtime. We put a fitted crib sheet on the top of the bed because my boys are messy and slobbery. Much easier to wash a sheet than remove the cover. I’m waiting to get one for the German Shepherd until he gets out of the chewing phase. Good investment for those joints on two 175# boys.

I bought this crate pad for my 75 lb (and still growing) Great Pyrenees mix puppy. We think she will be about 120 lbs full-grown. This crate pad is perfect for those growing joints and bones. She loves her new bed and I love knowing that she’ll be supported by the best of the best!

This is my second crate pad. The first one lasted over four years, but began to smell due to urine. This time I got the crate pad with a waterproof liner. My Ridgeback had joint pain at a ripe age of 2 years. He use to scream in ear piercing pain. He was in so much pain that he would avoid laying down as much as possible. So I researched the best bed I could find, and after a couple hours I stumbled upon big barker. Ever since I got him a big barker headrest, crate pad, and cosequin (max strength+MSM and HA) he hasn’t screamed since. He is now almost 8 years old, and loves his headrest and crate pad. You really can’t go wrong with a big barker. Except, If you have a destructive pup then look for a different bed. I’m glad that I got my big barker beds after my dogs went through their teething stage. However, I have an extremely destructive chewing puppy, and he loves sneaking on the headrest bed to lay on it and surprisingly hasn’t tried to eat it yet. It’s imperative, especially for large breeds, to have a good bed. Arthritis eats away on the bones such as rust eats away metal. Feeling confident that my dog isn’t breathing in material composed of carcinogens, and has no pressure points, definitely gives me peace of mind. When my puppy matures and stops eating everything in sight, I am going to get the two couch big barkers at the largest size and combine both of them so all of my dogs can sleep together. Thanks for creating the best bed ever! My dogs love their big barker beds so much! For those who are daunted by the price, think of it this way: I was spending $60 on a Kong bed per month, that equates to $720 a year, and that doesn’t even include tax. Their big barker headrest that I got almost 6 years ago looks the same as it did when I first brought it home. I have a waterproof liner for the headrest as well, and it’s keeping the bed from deteriorating. It hasn’t lost its firmness at all. The headrest bed is literally nicer than my bed. My bed is the memory foam with springs. A huge Thank you to Eric from my dogs and I! It’s nice to know that there are individuals such as yourself that go above and beyond to help dogs! The crate bed was able to get rid of Timbers Hygroma’s as well.

2nd Big Barker bed purchased and I wouldn’t spend my money on anything else! Now that I work a hybrid work week, my boy is spending more time in his crate. My boy wakes up ready to start his day!!
