figured Id give parents a heads up. If youre looking to give your child a book to familiarize them with a big Kiddo bed, maybe this one isn't the best option. it points out common fears like falling out of bed and bed being too big and not to mention the child discovering they can stick their feet and head out of the bed and crawl out and go wander the house. I will give the book credit that these fears the parents comfort him for like putting pillows on the ground in case he falls out. giving him stuffed animals to fill up the bed so it doesnt feel so big. and also ultimately he makes the decision to return to his own bed. I just feel like all the kids are going to take away from this book is I should be afraid to fall out. I should be afraid of how large it is. I should get out of the bed and walk around. so maybe pass on this one

My little one loves the Leslie Patricelli books and we have several others. This one is probably my least favorite though. I don’t like that it talks about getting out of the bed and wandering the house. We already know our child will do that when we transition to a bigger bed, no need to put ideas in his head.
