It has become a parent that the holes in the screen are so small that the birds are not very interested. Too hard to get to the seed if you’re using sunflower seeds
The best bird feeder!

Birds absolutely love this feeder. They love getting the black oil sunflower seeds off the tray and the holes are generous enough for them to easily get them out of the mesh. I give it a 10!!

This bird feeder is great for the black sunflower seed. This is the second one we have purchased and the birds love it. The wire for our first one broke after about 5 years but that can be attributed to the squirrels. Very happy with the product
So happy to find this again

I have one of these feeders from 10-15 years ago that has been through much abuse over time. The birds (all birds) love it! It is my winter time go to feeder because it holds a lot of sunflower seeds. I was happy the label was on the feeder and I could run down a new one.

I have accumulated four of these. They hold a lot of seed and are very durable. Birds love them. I do wish the loop at the end of the hanging wire were just a bit bigger to make it easier to hang/\.

We previously had a similar mesh birdfeeder which deteriorated over the years. It attracted a multitude of interesting birds, finches flickers cardinals even an occasional woodpecker. This new feeder with the same sunflower seeds is overwhelmed by sparrows on that basis. I’m very disappointed. The feeder itself is a solid substantial feeder.
Birds in my area aren’t attracted.

Birds don’t seem to be attracted to this feeder. The materials and construction are very good.
Not what I expected

I'm disappointed in this feeder. I had one that looked almost like this for 40 years, it was a heavier metal and called a Magnum. The "mesh" was more like hardware cloth. This one has a different type of mesh sides - black oil sunflower seeds fall right through the holes of this one, and squirrels suck the seed right through the mesh :(
Nice feeder!

This is a nice larger-than-most of this type of feeder. It holds lots of seeds and has a nice large tray around the bottom that catches all the seeds that fall out and is big enough for larger birds to land on. Well made and sturdy.
Excellent Feeder

Have used this feeder for over 10 years It has been battered by a bear a couple of times, but I just had to straighten the mesh and it was (almost) as good as new. Easy to fill and holds a good amount of seed. The mid-size birds, cardinal, grosbeak, jays, etc. like this feeder because it provides a good perch for leisurely feeding. I just bought two more to hang on a new bear proof pole that I installed so I didn't have to take the feeders in every night in the Spring and Fall.

The new model with the braided wire for hanging is not good. You should have left the original model alone. It had a metal rod for support. The raccoons will twist this new braided wire until the strands break. Then the lid will not raise and you can't refill it ! The old model with the metal rod was a good idea. This one is not. I have used the metal rod from my original model and combined it with the new parts to create a raccoon proof bird feeder.
