Q: Does this require adding eggs or can you get away with just adding water? My kid has an egg allergy so wondering if there are any recommended substitutes.
submitted by Anthony S - 2 years ago
A: We had a kid with egg allergy and always used applesauce instead of egg. We bought a pack of the individuals and one container worked just fine for a batch of pancakes.
submitted byTiffany - 2 years agoA: We use chickpea water in place of eggs in any recipe and you'd never know. 3 Tablespoons of chickpea water from a can is = 1 large egg. Typical can of Chickpeas yields a little more than 3 eggs worth

Q: Is this product safe for celiac patients or just for gluten free lifestyle folks.
submitted by love target - 3 years ago
A: We recommend reaching out to your health provider directly and work with them to ensure the foods you're choosing are right for your specific dietary needs.

Convenient for coating and baking. Because it is gluten-free, you may need more liquid than usual because it absorbs liquid.

I have used Bisquick for 50 years and especially like the Impossible Pies. The Coconut Pie is my favorite. The only biscuits and shortbread I make are from Bisquick. I recently bought gluten free Bisquick to make the Impossible Coconut Pie for a visitor with gluten sensitivity. I can't tell you how disappointed I was. In fact I did not serve it to them. I ate a small slice and do not like the taste or texture. I ended up throwing it in the trash after trying it again . And now I have to discard the remainder because the Food Bank won't take an open package.

I have used this recipe in the past and it is great! However, yesterday when I made them they came out dry. I am wondering if using melted butter rather than formed butter and cutting in would influence the texture (dryness)

I accidentally bought this gluten free version when I did a target order. My plan was to make a blueberry cobbler. Thought what the heck and made it anyway with this gluten free bisquick. Horrible! It had this weird sandy texture to it. Even my love for blueberries couldn't save it. I tossed the whole thing in the garbage.

Easy gluten free pancakes and waffles. The kids enjoyed them. I also love to use this for easy biscuits and hamburger casserole.

These pancakes are criminally underrated. I need to eat gluten free and grain free (which is hard because a lot of gluten free products use brown rice or brown rice flour). This is the first pancake Mix that checks all my dietary restriction boxes and it’s tied for my favorite GF pancake mix.

Bisquick Gluten Free Waffles worked okay for my daughter, who needs to eat gluten free. HOWEVER... my husband, who does not need to eat gluten free, had an upset stomach and diarrhea for two days after eating these waffles. When I've made baked goods with the recipe from America's Test Kitchen for gluten free flour there's not been this problem.

It is more expensive than Bob's gluten free and Krusteaz gluten free. And it does Not taste good on it's own. Thankfully I had a blueberry compote to put on pancakes. It does look nice and cook up nicely though. But the taste I can't get by. Hopefully will be able to return it to store?
