Description
Cut through metal pipes, rods, plastic, PVC, even hardened steel with the BLUE RIDGE 12” Hacksaw. Its 24 TPI (Teeth Per Inch) are precision spaced. And coupled with its modern tri-bevel tooth design blade, this saw cuts on both the pull stroke as well as the push stroke, masimum efficiency. The blade is made of high carbon steel with a corrosion-resistant coating, which can lasts for years, even with regular use. The saw comes equipped with a 12” blade. And the adjustable position handle allows this saw to accepts 10” blades as well. The saw has an easily adjustable tensioner for improved performance. The pistol grip handle is constructed of lightweight yet sturdy aluminum, making this saw lighter and easy to use.

Tried to cut through small metal rods for blinds installation, and it didn’t cut at all. Bought a $10 hack saw at Ace Hardware that cut through it with no issues. I recommend getting a quality one at Ace.

Poor quality and flimsy. Got partway through a project (day 1) and already it is warped and the edges are blunt. This is definitely one of those “you get what you pay for” items. I will be returning.

If you’re a carpenter, this isn’t for you, but I only needed it for a small home improvement project and didn’t want to pay a lot for a hack saw. Not the best quality there is out there, but it works for what I needed it for. I had to turn the blade over because it is packaged flipped - probably so it won’t cut through the packaging it comes in. The blade can rotate while using the saw.

This saw was the worst. It couldn't cut through anything. I threw it away the next day.
