Never thought I would ever leave a review for a tape measure. This is so bad. So sharp! Why is it sharp!? I’ve sliced up my hands, my husband has sliced his fingers. I’m seriously so disappointed. I didn’t even know these came this way. I just tossed it in the trash.

Will not stay steady at all. It flops over and it's impossible to get a measurement of anything not on the ground. The metal is cheap, thin, and flimsy. Save yourself the headache and buy one with a thicker and sturdier measuring tape.

perfect for heavy duty! I had to measure if a bookshelf would have enough space in my room and it perfectly helped me measure 5 ft by 7 ft along the wall! (though it can measure a lot more than 7 Feet) really happy with the purchase!

I love this little guy. The tape isn't super rigid but it's not flimsy, and I love that it already has a handy little strap. The retraction mechanism always works just peachy, Ave the tape itself has useful gauges on it. I have bought many tape measures as I regularly lose them, but even the bright yellow well-known branded ones, but somehow this one hasn't ended up in the back of the freezer or under a pile of wood scraps. Highly recommend.

Agree with other reviewers about sharp edges. First day with it I got a minor cut and my kid got a cut that wouldn’t stop bleeding. Had to go to urgent care and get it closed with steri strips.

This item works well, but has a cancer warning and Target customer service could not provide more information about that

I contacted Target but they could not tell me anything about the cancer warning or even tell me who the manufacturer is. It literally says cancer and reproductive harm on the back of the item. I want to know what is in this item, and what the cancer and reproductive risk is.

Cut loose - 5 years ago
I own one of these. Recently, while using it, it cut across two knuckles because it does not do a slow rewind. The other person holding it let go and it was extended about 100”. It flew back on me and sliced my fingers open. One cut is a fairly deep gash. Not a safe device.
