LOVE THIS COCONUT SUGER!! Great Taste, but most of all it is better than plain sugar due to having vitamins and minerals regular sugar does not! I actually feel less guilty eating this because of the vitamins and minerals contained within! Wish it came in larger sizes.

I was hoping this would give at least of hint of coconut flavor. I can't detect any - but for some that might be a good thing. It's also very dark. Is it toasted? I wasn't expecting that flavor. It's also somewhat coarse. It was fine in our hot cereal, but for me not enough different to be worth the extra cost. It is sweet and will be good in certain things, but I won't be buying any more. Like maple sugar much better.

This organic coconut sugar is extremely finely ground, making it the best sugar for topping lattes as it dissolves smoothly. Tastes delicious and doesn't affect my blood sugar like cane sugar does. I've tried many other organic coconut sugars and this is hands down the best! Highly recommend!!

Coconut sugar seems like it should be in that category of alternative sweeteners, such as stevia or agave nectar, which are a little less sweet, healthier alternatives to real sugar, but that wouldn't properly describe its place in the sugar armamentarium. It's a sugar plain and simple, a little less sweet than maple syrup or honey, with fewer factory hours needed to produce the final product, a product less likely to contain pesticides. Sweetness scale: Simple/Golden Syrup > sugar (which is not all the same sweetness either) > honey/maple syrup > coconut sugar > agave nectar/fructose > stevia/sugar alcohols > aspartame Coconut sugar is perfect in apple crisp and coffee cake recipes that demand nutty flavors without tons of nuts. It's very good in a cappuccino as well.
