Q: I've never owned a french press. I know the frother and carafe, but what are the other two items and what are they for?
A: I was just going to give the answer but Titeteeth beat me to it. (measured scoop (use coarse grain coffee) timer is a great idea. I love Bodum products.

Q: I got this coffee press set, but the frother was defective. I installed batteries but it didn't work. Checked compartment were the batteries go, it had a missing copper end for one of the batteries. Other units at store were the same. Is this normal?
A: Our frother from this set also does not work. One of the plastic tabs that holds the cap on to keep the batteries in place was broken when we opened the box, and after reading the reviews I can see that many others have gotten this set with a non-functioning frother.

A: The basis of a traditional mocha is espresso. However, the French Press delivers a very robust coffee that can be used to make mocha.

Q: Will the glass carafe from this one fit the stainless steel holder and lid of the Bodum chambord line? My Chambord glass carafe broke and I'm just looking for an inexpensive carafe to use with my chambord holder and stainless steel lid.

Q: How to change batteries in the frothed.
A: Pull on the bottom of the frother and the battery compartment will pop out so you can easily replace the batteries!
