Q: Hello - can you please confirm where the bowls are manufactured? What type of finish is used on the bowlS and is it considered to be safe to eat From?

A: Thank you for your interest in Lipper International Cherry Finish Set of 4 footed 'nappies' or small bowls (item #273-4)These bowls are manufactured in Vietnam. All of our products that would be used with food, including these bowls, have a FDA approved lacquer food safe finish. We recommend that they be hand washed and towel/air dried. They should never be washed in a dishwasher.

Nice but all too large for single serving of a salad. If you use these as a complete meal type of salad I think they may work, but, for me to use as a side salad bowl just does not work.

Been seeking moderate;y priced wooden salad bowls for a while and when I came upon this four-piece set I went for it and glad I did. Size of the bowls mattered to me as most wood sets are too small for my taste, but these are big enough and hold a decent-sized dinner salad. My salad days are back!

I ended up returning these because I expected them to be solid wood....they are more hollow-like which may work for some but wasn't what I was looking for. When I returned them to the store the cashier thought they were bamboo instead of hardwood so hopefully that will help someone understand how these look/feel in person. They were a good side and a pretty color though! :-)

These bowls are a beautiful, glossy, deep cherry brown. I have been on the lookout for some pretty, wooden salad bowls, but they are so expensive! These are very nice looking on the table and hold a good amount of lettuce. I would definitely recommend them!

I've been wanting wooden salad bowls for a while and they're sooo expensive. I love these and they were a lot more affordable than any where else. smooth, shiny wood in different shades, great artwork done on them!
