They were a little big to start I thought, but he soon grew into them. He now wears size 1 shoe and they still fit well. They fit pretty true to size of the size chart, I thought. Hope that helps!

submitted byTerra - 5 years agoTarget staff supportA: The size chart includes both "toddler" and "boys" shoe sizes, so I use that to determine the size needed. I bought these (boy's 6-pack ankle athletic socks, gray with colored heel through toe box) for my son when he was also wearing size 9 shoe. I bought "M" medium and they were a little big, but he soon grew into them. He's now a size 1 shoe and they still fit well (he's now 5 years old, so they also lasted well). With that in mind, I'd recommend a medium for your size 9 shoe wearing son.

Cat & Jacks are the only socks my so will wear. They are durable with excellent value. My only wish is that he would switch to the Cat & Jack crew socks. The ankle socks come off to easy. As soon as he gets home, he removes his shoes and the kicks his Cat & Jacks off and we end up with a mess all over our foyer. With the crew socks we are thinking he would have to sit down before he pulls his cat & jacks off which could keep things more tidy. But it's a small price to pay for such high quality, reasonably priced footwear.

Confused by size chart. Upc of item received matches the listing, but the item received says it is size 5.5-8.5. The website size chart size small is 11T-1K. So these look really small. I am confused why this says boys as they look like toddler socks.
