In regards of the “they/them” dramatic review.. It’s not that deep. On page 68 and 69 you’ll find it discussing his/her/their/they the same way we all learned in school 30+ years ago.
A Very Honest Review..

Purchased this workbook for our rising 1st grader for summer. Excellent book. Colorful, has our son engaged and having fun. One thing I believe should be known before purchasing this workbook. On the section reviewing pronouns, there were 2 examples of what looks like one gender to our son but the correct answer was “they or them”. It was confusing for our son and I wish I knew that was addressed so I was prepared on how t answer our 6 year old. I believe every parent has the right to choose when or how they will teach things and I wish there was some sort of disclaimer on it for parent shopping online who can’t flip through the pages. I feel it was a tactic from the company to not dissuade customers from purchasing. For that I docked 1 star because it rubbed us dishonest and it shouldn’t be a negative to this product. It was something I did not expected in a 1st grade workbook and other parents should be aware so you can make the best choice for your own family on how and when you choose to teach things. Lastly, our son really enjoys finishing a section because there are tons of stickers to choose from and put on the completed section.
Definitely recommend! Loved this!

Brainquest, I see what you've done here between last year's 1st grade edition and this year's. Shameless.

I always love Brain Quest's workbooks. Many different concepts are covered, and the activities are fun for my kids. They are always appropriately challenging also.
