I have used Braun razors exclusively for over twenty years. This current Series 9 Pro is a couple of years old. Recently the power button broke and is not replaceable easily and economically. This is a very expensive razor for such poor quality. I am hesitant to replace it with another Braun!

I bought this razor off the back of having a previous Braun razor that was bulletproof. The thing had lasted for years. I felt comfortable with the hefty price tag for this product because of the quality of the previous razor. I have babied this device. It lives in either the power case or on the cleaning/charging dock. Please see the attached images. It has never been dropped, is not scratched, and, as I said, has been babied. The build quality of this Series 9 Pro has not lived up to the level set by the less expensive model I had previously. I have had to send the device in twice when the power button fell off. It just fell off.... FOR A THIRD TIME. This is beyond frustrating. I have spoken with friends who have other devices from other manufacturers that cost a fraction of the price, and they have not had issues like this. Some of them are quite a bit older as well.

I purchased this and it’s been hard to enjoy. Because after 5-8 minutes it stops working and I have to wait 5 minutes for it to start working again this happens with the battery fully charged. And when it starts working it only works for a couple of minutes before stopping. Every morning I go through this process and this makes the machine the most expensive minute shaver. Regardless of how well it can cut the performance sucks. This is my 4th Braun shaver in 30 years.

I upgraded via the years from Series 3 via Series 5 and then Series 7 to lately to the Series 9. My Series 7 provided a very good shave but got a bit old. I bought the Series 9 because of Braun's advertisement for it and hoped for a beautiful shaving experience. To the contrary, it is the worst shaver I ever had. I lost my confidence in Braun's products.

Purchased this razor in January of 2024. It broke in less than 1 year of use. I have been using Braun for many years. I am not hard on razors and take meticulous care or my razors. My last Braun lasted me several years. I decided to upgrade since I like the Braun brand. This razor was expensive but I thought it would be worth the extra money since I had good experiences with Braun razors. It was not worth it. While shaving, it became unbearably loud. I popped the head off and a piece went flying across the bathroom. I found a tiny metal pin. After inspection, a small plastic piece that held the pin had broken off. It was a piece from the razor so replacing the head will not solve the problem. JUNK! I will never buy another Braun. So, I am looking for a new razor and it will not be a Braun. Do not buy this razor. It is not worth the expensive price.

The shaver is OK, not great, but do not buy this top of line. The shaving heads (suggested replacement every couple years) cost more than a mid-priced shaver. After 2 years my battery has died, which requires a trip to a professional. Something half the price would do just as well.

I got this for Christmas last year. I have had a Braun shaver for years and it worked well. This shaver does not shave close under the chin without persistent and long effort. I wish I didn't throw my old one away. I also don't like to have to pay the high prices for the cleaning cartridges, the stuff evaporates.

After been loyal to Norelcofor 5 years I decided to make a change and try something different, so I turned to the top of the line Braun the series 9, expensive, good reviews, expecting to be as good or better than my faithful Norelco, not the case of the results, definitely doesn’t shave as close and takes longer to shave., a waste of money because I am back using my old shaver..

I just bought a series 9 and the red foil light came on within a week and I have no clue how to make it go away. I have tried all of the suggestions on the internet with no luck? The instructions that came with it are useless but what a shave it is amazing

I’ve had this razor for year now. The trimmer is terrible and hardly trims. The foil head is really bad and doesn’t do good at all shaving your neck does ok on the face though but make sure you have a spare trimmer solely for trimming hair so you can trim off your beard hair before you can used your foil head which won’t do great and at that point should just clean shave with a razor.

I was gifted this a while ago and finally got around to trying it. It does NOT work. Shaving took me 3x as long as normal and I still have hair that the blades couldn’t cut. I ended up using the back trimmer for most of my face to try and salvage the ruin it left me in. It pulls hair if you go against the direction of growth and doesn’t cut if you go in the direction of growth. For someone who has wild beard hair, this is not for you. Unless your beard grows only in one direction, this is basically useless. Maybe I’m using it wrong or maybe the blades came dull but either way it’s not a good product and I do NOT recommend it.

The power button is made of cheap plastic. It popped out about 7 months after I purchased the shaver, after which I sent it in for an in-warranty repair. Two months after receiving the fixed shaver, the power button has again popped out. This is not the quality I expect from Braun.

I really thought about returning this after the purchase. Upon its first use I really didn’t get a clean, close shave like advertised. I figured I’d give it a couple more tries before the return time expired and came around to liking it. I used to shave after showering, but learned that I get a better cut if I shave with the Braun prior. I also learned that I get a closer, clean, shave going side to side rather than just the traditional up and down motions. It took about four or five times before I came around and started liking it.

I have had this razor for six months and while I enjoy it and love the case for travel, it does not shave as close as the Panasonic one that I had before this one.. I have used the rubber piece to prepare my face for the razor, but the shave does not stay all day.
