A: Thanks for this great question, Bright Starts Safari Beats has 11 Melodies in the play list + 3 backer melodies that you can drum along with. The melodies run between 20 and 38 seconds and the backers will loop if you keep drumming.

This is a great toy for all ages! My daughter loves pushing the drums while on her tummy. My only complaint is that lights on the drums are extremely bright, and the colors even hurt my eyes.

The toys’ lights are obnoxiously bright. They are so bright and flashing that they have the potential to cause seizures. I realized after giving the toy to my daughter that the bottom of the box in the smallest print has a warning that the flashing lights on this toy can cause seizures in sensitive people, which my daughter is. However this is not noted anywhere on the webpage!

Awful! This has NO place being in front of babies. It is loud and the lights are so bright and chaotic, it can induce seizures. If you value your child's eyes and brain stay clear of this torture device

My baby loved it, I received as a gift when she was born, however, it didn’t last more than 6 months, it started having issues playing the sounds and when try to replace batteries they were leaking, not safe for baby.

Sound stopped working within 4 months

Recieved this as a gift, and my baby loved it! He immediately pulled the handle off, but that wasn't a huge deal. The problem is, today we went to use it and there was no sound! We had it less than 4 months. I tried changing the battery, but it didn't help. Still lights up, but no sound. Come to find out, reviews on the manufacturers page include a lot of similar experinces, many for whom the lifespan of the sound was even shorter!

I really wanted to love this toy, because overall it looks like it would be a cute, fun toy. Unfortunately, there are multiple things about it that made me give it such a low score. First, just like everyone else says, it is way too loud and too bright. It’s loud and bright in my face when I’m sitting next to it so I feel like it’s inappropriate for LO’s that are made to sit with their face close to it. Second, the power switch is too loose. It just slides between the settings, and is frequently turning off when the LO plays with it. Third, the stand doesn’t really work. It barely holds up when the LO tries to play with it, and it just makes it awkward to position. Overall it is a very frustrating and annoying toy. Don’t waste your money!

The toy is of good quality and I like that the handle can be used to stand the drums up to encourage head lifting during tummy time. However, like others have mentioned, this toy is too loud and too bright. It would be better if it had different volume levels. However, I just put a piece of tape over the speaker and that made the volume perfect. As for the brightness, it’s fine when you use it in the brighter room but if it’s more light-filtered in the room then the colors are pretty bright and in your face to stare at. My baby likes to press the buttons and hear the different animal sounds at 5 months old but ultimately I think this toy is too overstimulating.

My daughter came from Az. September 2023 to visit her nephew and purchased this toy. It worked up to March 2024, it would light up but stopped playing music. For the price it should ave lasted longer.
