This is our second purchase of this car seat, the first was 3 years ago and it is holding up amazing, not sure what the negative reviews are about honestly because we love ours! It was recommended to me by other moms and I’m so glad! It’s been washed many, many times and the fabric still looks great, there’s a tiny bit of pilling where my child’s legs rest but I think that’s to be excepted with any seat especially one that’s 3 years old. Picture is of the one we just received for our baby, and it is beautiful! It is a bulky car seat and heavy to move but most convertible car seats are I think, definitely worth the money in my opinion and we will not buy another brand of car seat!

Don’t recommend if you plan on using it for over 2/3 year. Most all the metal spots under the cover are rusted and I emailed britax and all they could do was offer me 30% off to buy a new one because they don’t recommend me to continue to use it. Spent almost 400$ on it and am very disappointed in quality. I have one for my other son as well but I won’t be buying anymore britax products in the future. Also it’s literally called one for life and is already rusted. Under 3 years later.

Heavy and difficult to move

This is a heavy and combersome car seat. It uses cheap clips for securing to the car rather than the new locking style. This adds to the installation time. The alignment indicator is small and difficult to see at night. The whole thing moves as you tighten so it will take multiple times if you want to be accurate. If there is any chance that you will need to move it between vehicles even once, avoid this at all cost!

Stole my car for the seat

I was gifted this seat for my 14 month old son. He loved this eat because he was ready for a bigger seat and lived he could face forward. We had the seat for about two months when my car was stolen. Though we got the car back they kept the car seat. We are sad it is gone and hope to be able to get another.

These are the sturdiest car seats I have purchased in the last 43 years, starting with my own children and now into my fifth grandchild. I bought two of these models. What I love is how easy they are to install and how nice it is not to have to rethread the straps for the 2 and half year old. The same chair can by used by the 15 month old and the 2 and half year old if needed when I have only one chair in the car. The con is the seat weight. The seats are heavy. I knew they weighed 30 pounds when I purchased them, but it takes all I have as a small petite grandmother to carry then into the house for storage when I am not using one of both of the seats. I do not know yet how easy they are to take clean except to vacuum.

This car seat makes the worst rattling noise if a baby is not in it. I’ve checked it several times and it appears to be something in the back of the seat. It will drive you crazy while driving.

After reading guide and watching several videos and even acquiring assistance from the local Fire Department. The overwhelming consensus was that this car seat is too difficult to adjust, to be able to appreciate how accommodating or how safe it is supposed to be. Tried to re-gift it and was asked to return it for a different car seat Unable to return it we are struck with this high priced basically semi-useless monstrosity. We would never recommend Britax to anyone

I have always used Britax carseats for all 4 of my children, and purchased the one4life for our twins a few months back. Last week we transitioned them from their infant carseats (also Britax) to their one4life and they absolutely love them! There is so much room in them, which was the reason for switching as one of our twins is a chunker! This seat not only is spacious for them, it's easy for mom and dad to install and the durability of it is amazing! I've seen some complain that it is too heavy but for us that's just another sign of safety. It is easy to adjust both the incline and the head rest! Definitely giving it a 10 out of 10, as I have for the other 5 carseats from Britax we have used through the years with our other children!

I adjusted the straps to adjust to my 2.5 year old and it’s too tight and uneven. I have been using it since he was born because I didn’t want to constantly change it as he grew. I’m really not happy with the product. I was happy that you can take the fabric off and wash it because he vomitted a few times but it didn’t sit right again and kept coming off.

We bought this seat for our son back in 2020 and another for my daughter in 2022. I love the ease of the seat, I love how spacious the inside of the seat is (great for chunky babies!), and how safe I feel to have my kids in there with the steel frame (this thing is so heavy!) BUT...... I am not sure I would buy this again. For the price of this seat, there is no reason that the covers do not stay on the seat. The loops on the cover stretch and when kids get in and sit back, it pulls the cover off the side impact pieces. Britax has seen a brand new cover for my son's seat and it still does it. It's been taken apart and put back on each seat over 10 times and it will not stay on regardless.

Very easy install and great padding but the headrest rattles in the car and I could not stand it. It was all I could hear when I drove. Britax said it was normal but I could not drive any length of time without it really bothering me and ended up returning.

Worst car seat. We have owned 3 Britax car seats and I have used Graco with my friend’s kids. Everyone who has used this seat with my child needs help buckling him in and getting the straps straight.

I love the idea of this seat, but it does not stay in place. Take the marathon, increase the weight limits and add cup holders and I would love it. This seats harness never tightens evenly. We constantly have to reinstall it bc of the harness and because of it literally moving out of place and slipping backwards. We have two and they are just such a headache.
