Brunton Tactical Transit Compass

The Brunton Tactical Transit is THE tactical transit when precision matters! It offers the same functionality, quality, and durability that the US Military has depended on since WWI. Built with a green composite body and the same internal components as other Brunton transits, this lightweight tool enables accurate navigation and readings of bearing and angle. Features: Traditional transit measurement method. Composite body is ultralight and tough. Mirror enables sighting and measurement of bearings and vertical angles. Short and long sights give the user additional functionality and accuracy when shooting bearings. Precision NdFeB disc magnet provides very accurate readings and resists demagnetization. Magnetic needle can be balanced for use almost anywhere in the world. Induction dampening makes for a quick-settling needle. Sapphire jewel bearing allows for smooth needle movement throughout the life of the instrument. Internal components are sealed with an O-ring for improved water and dust resistance. All transits are compatible with Brunton's Jacob's Staff/Tripod Ball and Socket Adaptor (not included). Available in Azimuth (0-360) or MILS (0-6400) formats. Made in the USA in Riverton, Wyoming.
