This does work very well - when we have it set up, we are able to hang out on our patio into the evening without being harassed by mosquitoes. The zipper is convenient and easy to use, and the weight of the water along the base helps seal the bugs out along there. Our only problem is that we don't want to have it set up *all* the time, since we like to be on our patio in the open air when the bugs aren't biting. This netting is kind of tough to set up and put away - especially if your patio umbrella is as tall as ours is, since you have to put the top of the netting over the top of the umbrella - and as a result we've only used it twice and now it's in a bundle on our back steps. This might work best for someone who can leave it set up all the time.

It covered a much bigger area than I expected. Used it without filling the weighted bottom. At first but found it more stable with weight. Won't work with cantilevered Umbrellas. Very delicate netting. Was afraid it would snag on something as wind blew it.
