Decent drying rack but has some issues
3 out of 5 stars
KimKat - 26 days ago, Verified purchaser
I wanted to use this drying rack to air dry some clothes and sun bleach some items since the rack is designed in a way where I could rest items like pillows on it easily. The problem though is that the welding on this rack is not the best. Since it was shrink wrapped in the store, I didn't see the issue until I opened it up at home. While one side worked perfectly, the other side was finicky and fell apart pretty quickly which was incredibly frustrating. This may have been a one off fluke, but it was incredibly frustrating to find out after bringing this rack home.

Budget friendly, works perfectly, and folds up easily to store out of the way. However, once set up, it takes up alot of space and if you try to move it at all, it will start to collapse and will pinch your fingers.
Affordable and Useful

No problems so far. I use it to dry lightweight, quick-drying clothes and small towels, and sometimes a sweater or two on their own. This rack can hold a surprising number of small/lightweight items. FYI- this item isn’t suitable for heavy, wet clothes or large towels (unless you’re just draping one item over the entire rack). Also, it may be too delicate to last long in a household where it gets jostled around a lot.
A necessary evil

I absolutely LOATHE this drying rack. It’s so cheap and unstable; however, I air dry all of my clothing (family of 5) so I need lots of drying space. This rack is noisy, the arms constantly fall when I remove items, and it just sucks in general. Buy it if you must.
Be careful not to let it close on your fingers

The folding mechanism can be dangerous for fingers because there are no safety measures in place to prevent injuries. Essentially, it functions like a massive pair of scissors without blades, creating a strong pinching force. From personal experience, it can easily catch your fingers if you’re not paying attention, leading to painful accidents. One star for how cheap it is.

Lasted a little more than a year before it broke and not in a way that could be fixable. My ikea one broke after 10 years and I used some superglue to fix it. This one I had to toss

It actually hold quite a lot of clothes! I was surprised of how sturdy it is. It’s also very easy to store as you can fold it. I definitely would recommend if you’re looking for an affordable drying rack that can hold a goods amount of clothes. I typically can dry a whole load!!!

Broke after about 1 week of use. Metal snapped and there is no way to fix it. Can still use it, but it is lopsided and cumbersome to deal with.

I really needed a drying rack when our dryer broke so I figured I would just grab one at Target, but I should have known with the $16 price tag that it wasn't going to work out. It is so weak and flimsy it couldn't handle a small load of kids clothes without collapsing. Maybe I got a lemon, but it didn't work at all for me.
Works well enough for me!

For what it is and its price point it works well. I will echo similar reviews and point out that it is on the flimsy side however with strategic weight distribution it will hold up. (Wouldn’t recommend for blankets and heavier cloths) If you thought you were/think you’re getting a dry rack made of adamantium or vibranium steel I’d say you should curb your expectations. Want something sturdier go to The Container Store or IKEA and spend twice as much. Other than that, no complaints from me.
