Q: Is it possible to remove the bottom leg of the vertical supports, such that the bottom shelf rests directly on the floor??

A: The bottom legs of this stand must be used. Aside from these legs being needed to keep the integrity and stability of the stand, the length of the rods that are used to assemble the TV stand go from the top glass down through the bottom of those legs. The stand cannot be assembled without the legs.

This is a beautiful stand assembled. However, it is very difficult to assemble. I hired a handy man who said he had a hard time assembling the product. He did a great job. the finished stand was very stable and did not wobble. However, i returned it beczuse it was too short.

I purchased this item to replace an old stand that I was using for my 32" flat screen. The item came in very good condition on the exact day promised. It took me about twenty to thirty minutes to set it up. The directions were very easy to follow and I couldn't be happier. It looks amazing. The price and quality were excellent and it looks exactly as it is pictured on line. If you are looking for a nice glass tv stand, give this one a second look!
