[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time using this kind of wood stain applicator, and I am glad I gave it a try. It made things easier and less messy by taking the perfect amount of stain to soak the wood well and not create a mess. One of my favorite things, though, really is the handle. Not only is it really comfortable, but it is also adjustable. You can set it upright or lay it down more depending on what position is more comfortable for you. Once you find that position, all you do is tighten it, and you are all set. Another thing I really liked was how easy it was to clean. All I used was dish soap and water, and it looked as good as new. I am very happy with this little tool. I definitely recommend it.

It is too wide to dip right into a stain can, but I was able to purchase a small paint tray that worked out perfect! It doesn’t pick up too much stain, I had no issues with globing. The edges are a sponge like material which worked great getting into tight edges. The pads are replaceable, so the applicator itself is for multiple uses. I did wash out my applicator pad easily and will attempt to get more uses out of it. There is a female adapter on the end of the applicator that you could attach a broom handle into. That is a great feature if you can’t bend and squat on a large job. I did not use this feature, so I don’t know how sturdy it is. My only complaint would be more of a suggestion, I’d love to see a wider applicator for larger jobs.
