I bought this on a whim the first time I saw it. Youza, hot! I was thinking Cabot overheated this batch? Some weeks later I bought it again. No, it's meant to be this hot...Habanero pepper is a good warning. If you're acclimated to Buffalo Sauce and Sriracha levels of heat you'll enjoy this; however, it is a little bit further up the heat scale. Home-run Cabot. Making this cheese with an aged cheddar is near genius. Thank you. I'll eat Pepper Jack for the spark, but honestly don't like the dry and rubbery Jack cheese from the Market Basket deli (don't know what brand it is). Aged Cheddar and heat is a perfect combo. A great idea may be to try and make the milder Pepper cheese with umami american cheese.

I just can't stop eating this cheese. Lots of foods claim to be hot and spicy, but are actually a joke for people who truly like spicy food. I love spicy food. I grow jalapenos and habaneros in my garden every year! This stuff has some pretty serious heat to it, and it is delicious. If you can't even bear the thought of a habanero pepper, you might not want to buy this cheese. But if you truly love spicy food, and love good cheese, you'll be sorry you ever got started eating this stuff, because you won't be able to stop. You've been warned.

This is the absolute best cheese I’ve ever had. The flavor is perfect the heat is perfect! Yes, it is hot but not too hot for those that love spicy 🌶️! I’m having a terrible time finding this cheese now! I’ve been looking for over three months. Nugget Market doesn’t have it in stock in California, can you please provide stores in the Sacramento California or even Northern California area where I can find it? I love this cheese so much willing to drive at least 3 - 4 hours away from where I live to purchase it!!!

Too hot. Really inedible unless you cook with it. Not for snacking on with crackers or anything. Also, this cheese will irritate your body terrible in other ways and I mean in the restroom. I don't recommend buying this unless you plan on making queso dip and using a lot of other kinds of cheeses mixed with it.

I LOVE this cheese. I typically can't handle super hot foods but for some reason I can this habanero cheese, it is a different kind of hot I guess. It is hotter than the homemade salsa I make (I use jalapenos and chipotle peppers for that). I just bought two bricks tonight :) I love the taste and the way it melts so smoothly.
Amazing tasty spicy cheese. I need nothing else.

Possibly the greatest cheese I’ve ever consumed. The level of heat combined with this solid savory flavor has made me look away from every other cheese on the cheeseboard. As I write this review I'm snacking on the Cabot Habanero cheese. It is delicious. I'm eating pretzels and Tortilla chips with the cheese and it has a nice hot lingering taste and is very addictive. Both me and my hubby love it. I bought two 8 ounce bar chunks today and will go back to the store for two more. It is on sale. Lol.

This is the best cheese. Period. It's a bit hard to find in CO consistently but I'll buy 4-6 blocks when we see it. It is hot, but there is so much creamy cheddar flavor ahead of the heat, even my wife and 9 yo daughter enjoy it....we just have to cut pieces a bit thinner than I like.

Utterly ruthless, this cheese explodes onto your palate, taking no prisoners. This is for the lover of intensely flavorful food. It is a finely crafted cheese with a panoply of spices and exquisitely incendiary habanero peppers. If this description scares you, then by all means, stay away. But if you're intrigued, try it. It's brutally delicious. I buy it every time I find it.
