A: Hi, thanks for inquiring about Cacique Cheese! Our Queso Fresco is a soft, moist, crumbly fresh cheese that’s bright, creamy, and pleasantly milky. It’s ideal for crumbling over soups, salads, tacos, enchiladas, refried beans, and chilaquiles. Paneer shares many of the same characteristics as it is also a soft, fresh, non-melting cheese but has a tighter knit texture.

Tried this cheese for the first time making nachos for the Super Bowl. It has a mild salty taste that was just perfect. We loaded it on nachos and then later burritos! It's more of a cheese that you finish a dish with by sprinkling it on top in my opinion.

This cheese is a Household item in Mexican American families. Perfect to crumble/shred on top of Tacos Dorados, Enchiladas, Chilaquiles, Calabasitas, etc. It’s salty but not over the top. Maybe it you aren’t used to eating Queso Fresco.

I love queso fresco just to snack on. This is my favorite brand but I do have to say that it's a little on the salty side but I like it that way. Maybe if you crumble it on top of tacos or a caserole you won't find it salty but if you eat it straight from the package, it can be a little salty. Other than that, it's perfect. It crumbles nicely too.

This cheese is the saltiest Queso Fresco I have tried. The saltiness takes over the flavor of the cheese. Also, it’s not as soft textured as others I have tried. Definitely don’t recommend.
