Q: If the maximum length is 48" is this the measurement of the rod itself (between the finials) or is it the total length including the finials? How much length do the finials add?
A: Dear Linda. It is a measurement of the telescopic rod itself. The finials will add about 1.5 inches on each side.

Q: Could it hold clothes?
A: Hi Kennedy, The rod is designed to use with drapery curtains but you can use as you wish. The main consideration is with the weight limit. Generally, with using 2 brackets we suggest 10 Kg. (20 lbs.) or 3 brackets 15 Kg. (30 lbs.) max weight limit. That is if properly installed using anchors and screws secured into good material and properly placed.
